you are the bizzaro man.. Maggie is soooo win...
your not into the 'girl next door' look??? wtf? so your only into the 'porn star on tv' look?
I must be Bizzaro Man.
And yep, it's true - plain-Jane doesn't do it for me... coz, she's plain. She's normal.
How does normal stand out from the crowd... it doesn't, that's how.
Porn star look - sure... no problem there. No problem with beautiful, striking, sexy, classical or statuesque either.

Bizzaro Man out.
yeh see you are missing the picture entirely here, plain or girl next doory looking lass (which I believe are not the same category) are part of a whole growing up reminiscenty kinda thing that brings with it fonds memories of fumbling in the dark and "and then she unzippred her jumper" stories on school camps.
quid quo pro >> plain girls are hot, hot girls are not.
He's climbing in your windows, he's snatching your people up.
It's just a discussion, for sure... But I find it odd when people say "you've missed the point" on topics of opinion.
She's not ugly, she's just very plain looking IMO. But, I'm once again in the minority here. No worries.
PS: I always took "girl next door" to mean someone more accessible than a glamorous movie star. Someone more, "run of the mill" perhaps. Someone more "real".

I.e. conversation on her relative "hotness".
Precisely. If I were to give her one or whatever i'd be taking out full page ads in The Age, but it would only be because of her fame, and possibly as blackmail for money. Nowt to do with her looks.
Watched 'The Wrestler' the other night.
Dug it, but I thought the ending lacked a bit of detail, and this detracted overall from the film.
Mickey Rourke has come along as an older actor - I never rated him before he played Marv in Sin City.
So I went and caught the 11pm screening of Watchmen at IMAX.
Go and see this film.
My thoughts on it are so jumbled and incoherant and mixed and full on that its impossible to write even a brief review of the film save for three words:
It. Is. Awesome.
Also, Jim Jarmusch has a new film coming out! Limits of Control.
and the new Star Trek trailer looks fucking awesome.

saw it at imax on thursday. recommended. it's a bit flawed (big fan of the original comic and therefore suffering from purist bias), but a very good effort at adapting a difficult work to film. well worth seeing on a very big screen as it is an epic show.
hankering to see the 'black freighter' now, really should have been included in there too.

I saw the watchman last night, I loved it and hated it all at once. I think the second half was a bit wak but the first was sick.
