Featuring 25 acts over 3 Rooms Of Drum N Bass * Jungle * Dubstep * Hip Hop * Glitch
Commix
If the Cambridge, U.K , duo Commix don't sound like your average junglist act, it probably has something to do with their strong techno influences. The drum-n-bass act cite Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Carl Craig as some of the primary reasons they began making music. Commix made their debut in 2003 with their single " Feel Something" released on Aquasonic. They would then release more 12"s for the likes of Hospital, Good Looking Records, and Doc Scott's 31 Records. When it came time to release their debut album, they signed with the Metalheadz label and dropped Call to Mind featuring a guest appearance from Steve Spacek, get ready for the rollers when Commix drop into Melbourne town!
Randall
Randall started DJ'ing at the early age of 17 when he was introduced to Acid House in 1987, from there he found his passion in the Jungle! Resident at the massive AWOL music festivals, there's not much Randall hasn't achieved as a DJ over the past 20 years!
Randall devastated Melbourne on his last visit a couple years back at the 3rd installment of the Jungle Run Sessions, he is a true Jungle don who needs no introduction to the scene. Expect the unexpected with Randall as his track selection goes deep within all the sub genres of Drum N Bass. Randall is also head honcho of Mac ll Records which has had massive releases from some of the scene's heavy hitters to the tune of Break, DJ SS, Cool Hand Flex and of course Randall!
Can you handle the Randall??!!
Teebee & Calyx
When Calyx and TeeBee finally decided it was time to work together in the studio, the first two tracks they produced (‘Follow The Leader’ and ‘Cyclone’) were highly acclaimed by the music press and witnessed huge DJ support across the scene. In 2006 Calyx & TeeBee produced one of their landmark releases of the year: ‘The Quest’ which featured on the historic 50th release for Subtitles. Having also written ‘The Shape Of Things To Come’ for Renegade Hardware’s 10 year anniversary album ‘Above The Game’, the duo then decided it was time to embark on the long journey to produce their debut collaborative album ‘ANATOMY which proved to be a huge success! Over recent years, Calyx and Teebee have been smashing up dancefloors with their 6 deck routine and no doubt have something special in store this Cup Eve!
Noisia
At the start of their recording career, Noisia were focused mainly on drum 'n bass, but the recent years have clearly showed their diversity as producers. From remixing to producing pop albums, from hiphop to breakbeat, Noisia have proven themselves capable while maintaining a strong foothold in the drum 'n bass scene and staying true to their signature sound: dirty, but clean. The same attitude is to be found in their DJ-sets: they play mostly drum 'n bass, but don't be surprised if you find yourself with your hands in the air when a 4/4 beat at 133 bpm drops in the middle of the set!
TC & MC Jakes
TC's beats are so advanced that they make rookie producers want to give up, his record sales continue to confound 'vinyl is dead' doomsayers, and with a live act that's touring the world - TC is just irresistible in drum & bass right now.”
2007 has undoubtedly been TC’s year: verified by sales, awards, great press coverage and extensive club and radio support from dance music’s elite. Each of the singles taken from his debut album ‘EVOLUTION’ topped both BBC Radio 1's national dance chart and BBC 1Xtra’s drum&bass chart. These include ‘Deep’, ‘Jump’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Where’s My Money’. Largely due to unprecedented radio support from BBC Radio 1, XFM and KISS FM including Zane Lowe (the album was his record of the week) Annie Mac, Jo Whiley, Pete Tong, Mary Ann Hobbs, Grooverider, Eddy Temple Morris and DJ Hype.
MC LowQui
Resident MC at Broken beat Assault shows, LowQui is the complete MC, a host , a lyricist and a crowd entertainer, he brings a passion for drum and bass to the fore that is sure to electrify the dance.
His love of the music always comes first and LowQui´s true skill is in matching his flow to the DJ to keep the vibes in check!

I just made an accident. Yeeeah!
Hope the sound is better than NYD night at Espy a cpl of yrs ago!
It was a classic watching Dyna stumbling around the espy at 2 in the morning saying hi to anyone and everyone - he'd started at 1pm that day MCing for Zinc on a 43 degree morning, knocking back champagne out of a plastic champagne flute on stage.. OOh bad groundwork for the big day that he had..
I think he got up wif Jakes for a while that night.. Can't remember.
Good sound off at this one; Jakes vs Lowqui, the local champ.
Go get em champ!

Randal is a bad man.
Last time I saw him he took me to another dimension. I was simply not on this plane of existence during his set. Soon as he finished, bam! Back to reality.
Been too scared to see him since TBH.

Sure it will be, just saw a facebook event page created the other day. If BBA and Operatives come together im certain it'll go ahead. All these artists are in Aus during that time so would be a waste to not pick them up in other states.nadine wrote:Not much word on this, is it def happening?
