Chase and Status miming crap over at inthemix

Can some djs who know their stuff read the inthemix stink about Chase and Status faking it a la Mistabishi? I think it's Saul on the film clip, with the allegations its a pre recorded set.

I seem to remember in January he did a similar clump of jungle mashup at Roxanne.. What's the consensus? I reckon he might be embellishing a little on a bit of pre-recording, but it's hard to tell.

Anyone in the know, gimme your opinion.. Love Chase and Status. Is this what sets are gonna be in the future?

what people were saying was that he had his tunes on cd pre-pitched (not pre-mixed). no big news -- people were doing that when they cut dubplates too. then someone decided that you weren't allowed to do an acapella + beat mashup pre-recorded, and that every time you played an acapella, you had to mix it in.

Yeah peeps are just wanting to bring the hate now. Pre-pitching is pretty gay, but it's hardly the crime of the century.

Well... he only hits play on the left hand CDJ for the first 3mins from what I can see, and from what he's "doing" on the mixer it appears or at least gives the impression he's double dropping tunes.... But, perhaps it's just a pre-recorded mash-up intro and he's riding the EQ's. He does touch the second CDJ after 3mins and you can see the second fader goes up, first goes down. Odd at the start though - as fader 1 and 2 are both up.
