^ yeah it. it was pretty poor, but good/smart concept and i do like gervais personally.
garner is fucking weird. seriously. her smile etc. makes me wanna vomit. she played the role well i guess.

i got doublepass to preview of Bunny And The Bull tonight buy clashes with comedy fest show :(
will def have to see another time.
directed by the dir of Mighty Boosh (feature debut). apparently quite different, inspiration from gondry-style visuals. altho does have cameo from fielding+barrett. all set in an apartment. love surreal comedy.

i barely laughed through with invention of lying, but i smirked a lot. i actually liked it a lot too, it really is a nice light movie, something to just turn on and let you brain die to. and i mean that in a good way.
it was a smart shit film if that makes sense. I liked the moral stance taken more than anything.
Forgot to mention the main think i like about it :tard: The religion thing.
Not being a religious person AT ALL and being very very skeptical about the whole thing made their dig very spot on and relevant for me.

George Carlin nailed it (the telling) and didn't even really take it that far, the mime was pretty funny too.

Re-watched "Children of Men" again last night.

God that is a well made movie, every scene is kind of downstated and its got 2 or 3 of the most edge of your seat scenes ever.

On another note saw the trailer for Thunder Cats UNBELIEVABLY ghey looking, just, amazing Brad Pitt's in it too- How did that happen?

catch line

"The cats are coming out to play"

or something equally as bad.

The Batman with Arnie looks more credible

Yep The scene in the car as they are running from the ferals in the forest and then as they are escaping the farmhouse are 2 pretty intense scenes, and the final continuous battle long shot..

American Virgin
Image

I made the mistake of being in the room when this was on over the weekend. As far as I can tell a total virgin prude gets up on her high horse when she has to live with a mega slut but things turn wacky when she drinks too much at the kegger and shows her snatch to the party. Then she finds out a part-time pedo / woman's lib advocate from Girls Go Crazy has got the footage and he is on his was to Oktoberfest with it. So, mega-slut, hot2death boy and another guy who was on the phone to a girl who constantly threatened to bite off his cock set off on an old fashioned road trip. When they finally met the pedo he wouldn't give back the video and she sees her boyfriend fucking her spiritual mentor in an alley so she goes batshit crazy and tries to have sex with many men (including hot2death, but he iceburns her) but due to hilarious circumstance she doesn't get any and then mega-slut finds her and they go and find the pedo and then the pedo's daughter flashes him her tits and he gives back the video but it turns out she wasn't even the naked one with the moose head on in the end because she was having a sneaky yack by the fireplace. Then she gets called a slut and likes it so she shacks up with hot2death who is also a mega-virgin so they go at it and then they aren't virgins anymore which is the moral of the story.

I would rate this video 1/5 but only because I think that is the lowest I can go on the 1-5 scale.

Saw On the Road last night.

Omg. Stopped it before the end, freaked me out, strange dreams as a result. i guess its a good story of someone not wanting to give up, but fucken hell, sometimes you dont have a choice but to give up.

I dunno. I might have missed the point, but seemed a cruel situation to put your kid through.

any one else seen it?

You talking about The Road, Sammie?

:retzielikes:

Loved that film. The book is one of my all-time favorites too. Dark, depressing and a slap in the face... The author of the story wanted to show how much we take our natural resources for granted, and was inspired by the love he felt for his son and his fear for future generations.

Not the happiest film tho

Caught up on a lot of 2009 blockbusters recently - G.I Joe, Star Trek and Sherlock Holmes.

I only liked one of the three, and it didn't include American patriotism or a pouting Jude Law.

Yeah thats it!! i must admit, talking more about it last night with brb, i can see it differently now. Even going down the road of ok, so the world isnt what we knew it has, but we can adapt and change and somehow try and make it work.

Reading what you said above also helps..... I just wish i could get that fucking basement scene with those starving fucks out of my head, really disturbed me that part!!! :puke:

Watched an aussie film ' Blessed' yesterday.
Man we make some depressing movies.
Was a good film, would give a 31/2 out of 5, but was not a good idea watching it alone n fragile from the weekend.

Intense.
