Re: The Producers Conference - 24/09/2010
yeah mixing with your mind was the highlight for me
tbh most of the ableton stuff was a bit meh for me.
already knew all the rax stuff, and seen more impressive 'live set' demos and what ableton is capable of from people like Danny Bonnici (nubreed [at djwarehouse a while back]) and ill.Gates...
better explanations of follow-on actions, organising loops/clips, building a live set, use of rax in both production and live environments. really didn't like kuya's demo (neither track nor attempts at explanations). dizz1 was cool; weird method having to open a new live file for each track but yeah i guess that'll change now that the bridge is out.
i'd be keen to see someone using maschine+traktor for livesets tbh, i can see it being way more intuitive for stuff like live drum sampling/triggering/looping, espesh with the S4 coming out
the reason stuff was interesting if not useful for me, mainly cos i haven't used it in ages and its good to see what can be done. don't really like the way it works tho all the virtual wiring you have to do to get something interesting lol
