I think maybe that's a bit extreme, but yeah, you should be aware of the fact that you are eating something that used to be a living breathing creature, and not just a vacuum packed piece of food that magically landed in your shopping trolley.deviant wrote:^^ that's just what a typical narrow minded person (like the ones who comment on theage.com.au) would say.

Even if that means the animals are treated inhumanely and processed in unsanitary conditions?
All I'm saying is that we need to be aware of the process.

Re: The Big Up Thread
Oh I'm well aware of the process from farm to table. I grew up in small farming town, with one of the worlds most state of the art salesyard facility only 30km away and the largest national salesyard for sheep and cattle only 100km awayapophenian wrote:Even if that means the animals are treated inhumanely and processed in unsanitary conditions?
All I'm saying is that we need to be aware of the process.
Both these towns with the salesyards also had abbys so I grew up not only knowing alot of abbys workers but dating a few
I also have been going out with a butcher for nearly 5 years now.

Re: The Big Up Thread
Well it's been a hard decision, but I have given my notice at Miss Libs.
Its definately a bigup as everything in the universe is showing me there are bigger things for me to sink my teeth into.
I just want to say, if it wasnt for my beginning into clubland events/bookings at Lounge 6 years ago, I may never have been on these boards, may never have met all of you, and so I am eternally grateful to the last few years and all the relationships I have formed here. Enemies, friends, housemates, lovers, all from Mb.com! hahahaha
I don't know exactly what the future holds, and that is the most fucking exciting thing ever.
And a big thankyou to everyone here for the public and private workshopping that helped me to get to this point.
