<<<OLLIE OLSEN_ live

Ollie Olsen is an Australian composer, synthesist and sound designer who has been producing and performing rock, electronic and experimental music for the past thirty years. He is probably best known in the mainstream for his collaboration with Michael Hutchence - Max Q in 1989.
Olsen began his forays into electronic music as a teenager in the mid 1970s, studying with Felix Werder. He has gone on to produce a large body of work, ranging from experimental work to film and television soundtracks, pop and dance music, installation projects and creating and running record labels.
From the late 70s to present Ollie has been involved with an impressive number of artists and acts from The Reals, The Young Charlatans, Hugo Klang, Orchestra of Skin, NO, Whirlywirld and Third Eye, Shaolin Wooden Men, Antediluvian Rocking Horse as well as running his label Psy-Harmonics.
Olsen has lectured on and taught electronic music at various universities and symposia and performed, contributed and composed with a wide variety of artists from across the globe.

<<<CANDIE HANK aka PATRIC CATANI [GER]

Candie Hank aka Patric Catani is a German producer, composer and performer from Berlin who’s music uniquely covers Soundtrack Melodies, 8bit Bass, Rap with slight memories of the abstract Hardcore Techno and Acid School.
Originally producing music on the Amiga in the late 80’s and while still notorious for his Tracker Enthusiasm, has managed to transport his vision of music with all its facets to a broader audience over the years. You can sense the smell of Catani on all of his productions no matter which genre. A cinematic, confronting journey through the eras of forgotten futurist lounge and Beat – Using the symbols of our Darwinist pop society and the typical male stereotype character to appreciatively take it apart and dismantle the dictated, risk free attitude of the “New APP Order”.
His anarchistic approach taking and modifying statements in a plunderphonic way but giving it the spice and soul of Moog synths, 8Bit Roughness and the surreal twist of a Daniil Charms worshipping sample eating Bassmonster. Of course always in honour of Morricone, Rock Hunter, Hazil Adkins and the Euromasters.

Come and see Mr Candie Hank smash his extreme and grotesquely beautiful music, into the ballroom like a good bottle of wine.

<<<SADO_live

Alan Crowther aka Sado is a computer based producer from Melbourne. Sado’s live music is best described as a unique blend of textured atmospherics, high velocity drum sampling within abstract song structures. Since 2007 Sado has produced some of the freshest breakcore and electronics both here and abroad. Just when breakcore seemed to peter out, sado’s contribution has reignited interests and moved the genre forward in a new and original direction. Finally securing him to play racket we can expect an exciting and long awaited show from him.

<<<XIAN_live

Hailing from the wastelands of Bacchus Marsh, Xian's unique grafting of juxtaposing genres is his claim to infamy, from grindcore to crack house, crudstep to greasy R&B and anything it takes to get your knuckle hairs on end. Solid kick drums and snares puncture the ambience in a shit storm of hard hitting electronics. Supporting the likes of Clark (UK) U-zique (UK) Evol Intent (USA) Exile (UK) Enduser (USA) Goth Trad (JAP) Richard Divine (USA) to name a few. With local releases on System Corrupt and Black Lotus, internationally on Omeko (JAP) Wrong Music (UK) Acidsmover (RU) and BRK (FR) to airplay from TripleJ, Shibuya FM (JAP) and PBSFM. <<<SAMARI

For New Zealand raised Samari, electronic music has been his liberator. Dwelling within the pulse melting genres of tech-house, techno and minimal, this strongly directive character not only has taken his hometown by storm but those outside of the islands too.
Establishing himself initially as a radio host and DJ gear designer, where he has successfully taken out awards for audio visual designer projects, Samari harvested a distinct goal point for movement in the industry. In 2008 he left New Zealand to pursue a broadened music career with the love and inspiration of the tech scene deeply instilled within him. Before this move however, he involved himself immensely within the industry on various levels showcasing not only his creative musical talents but design talents also.
Many will suggest that there are brains behind the design and formation of a well nurtured track, however for Samari he has also used his skills on contribution of the designs within the Serato Music Group making him a well rounded figure in the electronic music industry.
From musical software design to musical production, it’s a one way and very fast journey forward for this artist, producing for over two years over the various techno and tech house genres.
Samari successfully exported his musical resume from New Zealand carrying a wealth of talent including that of a 2010 blitz on Pitch Black’s ‘Harmonia’ with the Samari Detroit to Chicago remix out on Dub Transmissions Recordings. Forthcoming remixes set to hit niche districts include that of Backroom Reality’s ‘No Mistakes’, while Samari’s EP Chaos Reigns is a sure fire hit for those underground chasers. Following the Chaos Reigns EP launch, this pioneer for live visual and music performances, is a on track to securing his own premier live project exposing an array of production and live techniques that are bound to get the hearts pumping for many if not all.
With current residencies with Smalltown, Lucky Coq and E55, and regular appearances at Brown Alley, Afterdark Social Club, My Aeon and Bimbo's among others. Samari spreads the driving love of tech and its complimentary genres throughout Melbourne after coming from a very strong events and promotions based background in New Zealand. There he ran one of Wellington’s strongest running club nights Electroluxxe for over three years. Migrating his expertise to Australia, Samari continued pumping out success with established night- Gradient. Cementing Samari into the techno scene in Melbourne Gradient hosted the best underground techno sounds at Miss Libertine, together with the exclusive Bunker Series parties.
On the road, on the decks, Samari has quality notches on his tour belt. New Zealand saw Samari nail two impressive consecutive bookings with the Gun Metal Tour with Kill Me DJ and Jem The Misfit, taking clubbers through a full audiovisual journey, a talent he has perfected exceptionally. These tours have provided such a secure ground for the artist, allowing him to share an edgy, unique DJ experience.
From one journey to the next, as a strong mentor, Samari continues to utilize his knowledge and expertise for music and production, to ensure the eager raw artists of this generation onwards, grasp their own potential and the future of the industry. As a DJ instructor at the popular Your Shot DJ Competition for Stereo Sonic and Ministry of Sound and DJs United, he trains his students on the importance of being unique while on the journey through music, to carve that perfect sound; something he has potently mastered and continues to ripen. Berlin may call and so too Detroit. Samari will answer.
