A long time ago before the invention of the CDJ, Laptops, Serato, Traktor and more recently the USB stick, a Deejay had to train in the mountains for months just to be able to carry this forgotten treasure, his Records. Performing for more than 2 hours meant traveling with some serious weight, organising transport and requiring stealthy exits from venues to protect the valuable cargo. If a record bag was stolen, it simply meant you no longer had access to your music and spent the next few months searching for your babies in cash converter,s unlike today where you can go through Beatport and be back up and running in under a few days.
This is the first in a series of Vinyl only shows at Section 8 with performances by our cities biggest wax horders and their journey through the stockpile.
