+ guests: DANIELSAN (KOOLISM), TESCHNIK (SYD) & DJ PIXLETON
UK Fingerlicken duo Slyde play Revolver Upstairs Friday July 1st with their Disco-breakz-funkster fun. Made up of two well-worn and respected veterans of the dance music world: Robin 12Tree and Jason Laidback. Discovering a mutual love for funk and breaks saw them united in the studio, they produced the track 'Flow' which was signed to Bolshi's breaks division and included on Sancho Panza's Carnival compilation 'Float'. From 2002 they continued the collaboration under the new name of Slyde, resulting in some immensely huge and popular releases for their new home at Finger Lickin', including the outrageously funky 'Slippedy Slide' and more recently 'Krunk'. As well as continuing to churn out quality tracks and working on the first Slyde album, they are currently producing tracks for a major artist in LA and working with a new and exciting female rapper - you can be sure to expect some big things from these boys in the future!

hey mel.

i've emailed revolver for the full set times. all i know at the moment is that the boys are on at midnight...

the sydney show is a scaled down version of the usual winterbreak party they normally do (a couple of the acts we had booked to play the party fell through so they decided to do a smaller club version of the party).
it's at the metro with krafty kuts, jds and slyde

Mate, I'm not surprised...

I don't think I ever saw you without a bottle in your hand...

But I digress, it was a super fantastic night. Funky tunes, great friends, awesome to see the MB.C massive down for a supreme piss up! I saw my brother, his much younger girlfriend, and my dad's wife's sister all at the same thing...Truly a strange one, but man, was it fun. And I reckon I'm gonna see the same crew present and representing on Wednesday at Honkys, and Krafty on Friday. PALY SUM BERAKZ!111111! LOZ w00t

Had a ball, paying the price now. Good to finally be free of exams and get into it proper. Loved having a good dance with the Mb.c massive, trainspotting Thayer and Kleph's tunes in amongst a funky ass set from Slyde! Shepherd (in a club? at 2am? omgwtflolz) getting into training for next week

Also nice to meet ya Luke and Andrew (cheers for the shot... Messed me up good and proper!)

Thanks to Thayer, Friday, Shepherd, Mellogs, ADD_boy, lmb, brb, Stray, Zerotonine (dude I hope I never see those photos

) et al for being great company all night. And to everyone I just forgot too.
