I can big up finally started a proper fitness regime that's seen me go from walking 2 km's and being puffed to walking 1 km, jogging the other and still having breath for other things. Feeling better than I have in ages, besides the broken back situation.

quit smoking as of today.

not really a true big up yet, as hey its only just the begining and I have, yanno, the rest of my life to go (which hopefully will turn out to be a bit longer now). but I guess its a step in the right direction.

not looking forward to the lung butter making an appearance at quitting + 3 weeks or so. Tried this whole shebang 3 years ago and some pretty interesting stuff came up, can only imagine what its gonna be like this time. Probably should apply to the UN for permission to experiment with new life forms.

what just occured to me is that with quitting smoking you only actually fully succeed in quitting once you die, as its the only circumstance under which you could never have another cigarette. in that sense its weird to have a goal where if you are doing well and on track then you keep pushing out the deadline for completion ad infinitum.

yeah its all good, a little exercise goes a long way. especially if you dont smoke.

I walk to work everyday and back again, it makes me happy actually to not need transport and avoid any congestion.

I skate and BMX quite a bit, but more gently than I used to.

hearing you there - I tore the ligaments of my ankle trying to do a kick flip down two stairs last June and it's not been the same since.

only JUST (last week) got back out on the Futsal pitch after that little horror injury (played goals for the last 6 months which just wasn't the same)

gotta get the regime going - and maintain it.

Good food, good health = good times.

Many Many Many great parks in Melbs.

My personal favorites....

Middleborough Rd/Canterbury Rd - Box Hill - one of the maddest parks I've ever skated

Lilydale Bowl/Fitzroy Bowl - both almost identical although I think Fitzroy is a touch smaller

Prahran (next to Prahran Pool)

I remember going to Ladbrooke Grove all the time to go down to the playstation park. Also the Stockwell Bowls were cool. If you were in a group.

Yeah look Ladbroke Grove is rad, but you gotta pay and it used to get busy as at the weekend.

Stockwell, Camberwell, and Cantelowes in Camden were regular spots. I also used to skate this mini in the Packington Estate in Islington that was always bait because the local kids would come down and kick off with anyone that wasn't from there. It got torched in the end.

Southbank was good until they removed the banks, you could get wicked bank to wall ride action going on too. :)

But Skating is just a bigger culture here even the little parks are so well designed. Sick.
