Liz, you got a temperature? Bone aches or the chills?

i swear i have gotten antibiotics before for the flu, no wait, that was tonsillitis. opppss my bad

getting better now, still sound like crap and am all snotty but resting up. had the aches Mixxy, but panadol is helping that.

i agree with those who don't want sick people at work, i hate it too and think its kind of selfish. but at my work we just went through our second round of redundancies with 50 people going this time. There are less staff to cover those who are sick or too busy to carry their own work load. Its fricken mental. People aren't getting their leave approved (a mate asked for two days and they said no) either because there is no one to cover. fuckin GFC :angry5:

So at around 6am some dude persistently rings the doorbell until I get up to see who is there.
'I live here', he says smiling.
'No you don't!', I answer in a hungover haze.
'Oh, I'm friends of the neighbours'. Still smiling.
I shut the door and go back to bed.

nah, many law firms are suffering at the mo, i could prob get better money if i went outside of legal, but i want more years experience with what i have been doing so i can get a sweet role next.

plus, i have had quite a few people calling me to say don't leave because of what they have done, and that they are working on getting a junior for me. It won't happen straight away, but i am glad others are seeing that this workload is too much for one person.

biggest gripe for a while...

massive 180 by one of my biggest customers... I doubled their advertising by sorting out issues they had last year and getting some awesome ads made up which i spent a long time trying to create. I had 4 visits with these customers and had great rapport. I got paid on this big increase, now they decide to cancel EVERYTHING because of the fukn ecconomy... Next pay I will have $500 less as I need to pay back the commish... plus it makes it so hard in an already hard canvas to make trip... almost impossible.

Fuck it... great start to the day/week/month

sucks balls Stevie. Consider it this way though...the month can only get better. Start at the bottom, you've got no place to go but up my good man, up and away :smt006

My gripe is my lack of mobility preventing me from shaking my booty proper to a number of tunes the ladies of the bass played at Subvert

Gem - That Anaconda tune with the Dillinja bassline (feeling that you get sometimes, when you're lying in your bed sometimes...) I own it and I can't remember what it's called :banghead:

C:1 - Original Nuttah

That hurt my heart, nay, my soul not being able to jingle and jangle to them

Just use the barter system tbh Sammie.

Offer them speedy resolution of 1 of your tasks in exchange for prompt closure of 5 of theirs.

I can offer some haggling tips if needed. I'd rate myself as semi-professional.

Perhaps then he can just copy and paste and he wont have to keep his email in some sort of organised fashion. :tard:

Yep, Australia has shown +0.4% growth over the last quarter.

The only developed country to do so from what I'm told.

Japan, on the other hand has shown -4%.

there's a way to protest suceessfully. taking a leaf out of the rioting taxi drivers' book is not it

instead of a smart argument you get aggressive dero destroying public property. wise up people- and that includes haters. people are people. who gives a fuck where they're from. merit is in the person you are

I didn't think that protest was that bad. I went past it at 5:30pm. So I had to walk to La Trobe st to get the tram home. Big deal. The atmosphere was ok at that time, you could get around the ppl protesting without any probs, and there were police who seemed pretty calm about it at that time.

W_P: that's a shame your friends are doing that. Imagine now for a minute if the ppl getting off these trains and getting bashed were anglo's. we'd be wanting the cops to do something about it. What should it be any different because someone comes from overseas? In some ways that makes it worse, because this thing is playing on and on in the media and it will affect our countries reputation overseas for other students and travellers. I know the attacks on tourists in NZ make me wary of travelling there, and I've been there many times.

I think its worthwhile. Council have a role in long term behavioural stuff and noise. I can give you a few pointers if you want, seeing as its my job to anyway.

No, what I meant was I don't think a protest was called for in the first place. 2 Indians get bashed, and suddenly it's a racist epidemic? I don't like the public's reaction to it all, but I think the Indian community were foolish and ignorant in saying that it is an issue of race.

Private sector investment is way down (i.e. businesses cancelling contracts), its just that the cash splash (the december one) has bubble boosted house hold consumption. Also china have bought lots or ore off us which is a big boost, but that has mainly been by traders speculating, rather than industrial output in china - meaning that the next few months their purchases are likely to drop way down.
