BU skype - bringing long lost and far away friends into your loungeroom. best invention on the computer ever.
BU being asked to do a project involving my bondage babies, i had forgotten people loved them.
BU biggest party wkend of the year coming up, camping, and all that goes with it.
BU sunshine & hopefully an end to more flooding
BU my house being back to semi normal and being a quiet nice place again

BU's my boss (what a legend) and my job - love it! After the unbelievable hell I had to put up in my last job I was starting to become convinced it was me causing all the problems and I couldn't expect any better. Finally I see that it was not. And I work for a relaxed, considerate, very likeable human who looks out for me and has my back, instead of backstabbing and undermining me. And I work for a company that actually is doing something good for the world now and then. If you had spoken to me a year ago I wouldn't have thought it possible. Miracles can happen

It all sounds like a friend of mine in Melbs who put herself through several shades of Hell in corporate law and finally switched to government. We are still waiting for her to hit politics (next female PM tbh,) but it's so nice to see her restored to a human being!

There is a very sick culture in these places that keeps people in their place with fear and silence, and I had had enough. It was was the best decision of my life the day I walked out.

It sounds like you are having a long hard look at your current situation too. I empathise and am sending strength and encouragement your way. In the end the path that lets you be true to yourself is the most compelling.

The only thing I know for certain is this - 2011 is going to be a shitload better than 2010 for a lot of people! Wtf was with 2010 hey?!! Only year I have ever been excited and not nostalgic at 11:59 on 31 December!

I think that a combination of experience (hello promotions) and life experience (is this it? I worked my ass off to be someone's bitch?) can work in your favour... and when you know how bad it can be, you totally appreciate the awesomeness when it happens.

Big the fuck ups to being made redundant (omg free monehs!), having no commitments in Australia and endless opportunities available to me. HOLY FUCKING FUCK...what to DO!?!?!?!

niiiiice. ive been made redundant from every job i've had lol. best way to have to change jobs huhu. make sure you do something rad tbh. i am always regretting doing what i did rather than going on a 3 year walkabout cos now im stuck forever.
