Re: The Big Up Thread
I feel like I cant vent on FB cos all my Aussie mates say 'whinging pom' or 'man up' or something equally unsympathetic therefore I dont gripe at all.
Twitter, on the hand, gets all my griping.

More often than not, I am ranting about people I'm friends with on FB, which pretty much makes the decision for me. You know when you go to the bar and let off some steam by telling the bartender who couldn't give the slightest fuck? Somehow it's way better when no-one actually knows anything about the situation. You have your little cry, then get back to the serious business of drinking

Re: The Big Up Thread
Some pics from Rainbow, since you asked.
My camera ran out of batteries on day one so I didn't get any of the rad stuff that happened later on.
In our Teepee.
Big sky
Pon dancefloor

Re: The Big Up Thread
it was!
here's one that someone took outside our Teepee at 2am which starts to do justice to the light installations happening in the sky. To me, on shrooms at the time, it looked like the sky was split in two and a stairway to heaven at the same time.

Re: The Big Up Thread
thanks for posting photos cob i just posted some in photothread today
so many other great ones about. i find it hard to take too many, much rather be enjoying it. that vicenzi guy had some great shots last year too, and yes outstanding ones the best i've seen this year too!
guess/hope he's getting paid for it..
really needa get me a 70-200 f/2.8L ISII...but then you look like a bit of a douche...hate the white canon lenses, nikon black much more stealthy. though its hard to be stealthy with a 2 foot lens of any colour..

yeh I'm the same way, I can't seem to catch anything exciting, because i am too busy enjoying whatever is happening rather than worrying about photosi find it hard to take too many, much rather be enjoying it.
oh and i thought your username here was different from your flickr username lol
and somehow, at a festival, if you put a holga lens on your camera, people question whether it is a camera at all...
"is that a camera?"
huh? of course, it is not cake!

Re: The Big Up Thread
nice man, gh2 awesome for video with h4x
there may be a gh3 coming this year. rumors of 5d mk3 (overdue), 7d mk2 etc too, but people who keep waiting/worrying about upcoming products never get anything.
better off just getting something good and using it!
i've been thinking about getting a sony NEX-5N as a 2nd smaller cam for a while..great in low light & 50p/slowmo 1080 video!
Re: The Big Up Thread
^ yep waiting game for new tech is loooong
not going to play
M34 is the new way for me - get some pretty amazing video out of GH2 at high bit rates. even do keying work with it.
saw on your vimeo you have gliderail and that manfrotto video head - want both
