Quick - hydrochloric acid (HCl) is not in your stomach mate - it's in one of your intestines. Pretty sure it's the small intestine...

UCN School of Medicine wrote:"Drinking milk before alcohol slows down the absorption of alcohol into the body because it coats the stomach.

It helps slow down the absorption of alcohol by diluting it, not by coating the stomach. Any liquid will dilute alcohol, and food helps absorb alcohol so that it passes more slowly from the stomach to the small intestine. Most of the alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream from the small intestine rather than from the stomach.

flippo wrote:fine then mate. I can see you've put alot of effort into that rebutle....

define 'lines' your stomach then. Are you suggesting that once milk enters the stomach all laws of gravity and physics go out the window and it just floast in the middle without touching the sides?

also.... explain how you know fish arent animals...
I'm say that a milk in your stomach doesn't stop other chemicals from reacting/absorbing in the stomach. Therefor its not really lining the stomach, just mixing with the acidic concentration.

Depends where you look, some recouses say fish are some say their different... check thread about nothing... check TICKAs' post, different definitions in different sources.

It categorises them seperately, they're all in the animal kingdom, but can be categorised seperately. Plus, this was my initial question, I wasn't sure if they were all categorised as one or seperately.

Washing Machine powder works better G - I used it for 6+ years -

Instructions :

Remove stem and Cone if possible
Fill Bong up with EXTRA HOT running water from tap
Pour in about a tablespoon of washing machine powder...any brand, but cold power is good.
Leave soaking
Come back and flush out with more hot water
The rinse with Cold Water
No scrubbing required ;)

I was always worried about the chemicals in washing powder and also the after taste.

http://www.encyclopedia.com/html/f1/fish.asp

limbless aquatic vertebrate animal with fins and internal gills. There are three living classes of fish: the primitive jawless fishes, or Agnatha; the cartilaginous (sharklike) fishes, or Chondrichthyes; and the bony fishes, or Osteichthyes. These groups, although quite different from one another anatomically, have certain common features related to their common evolutionary origins or to their aquatic way of life.

You realise this all started with a question, not a statement, all you had to do was answer it.
hah sorry man. Your question was about birds... yes they are animals.

It just found it v funny when you said you knew fish werent animals. Don't take my nit picking serious im just playing around.

Taxonomy 101.

There is the animal kingdom... which has all animals from humans to sea squirts and sea stars.

you can break the kingdom down into phylums, such as phylum echinodermata (sea stars, sea urchins, sea cucumbers), Molluska (pippies, snails, squid) Arthropoda (crabs, spiders, bees). Phylum Chordata, basicaly has anything with a notochord and hollow nerve chord, put tsimply anything with a backbone, so fish, birds, donkeys, snakes.

Within chordata you can break it down to Class...

class mamalia (humans, squirrels, steven quick)
class aves (birds,)
class reptilia (reptiles)
class amphibia (frogs, newts)
class Ostiechthyes (bony, skale fish)
class chondrichthyes (sharks, rays)

they all animals still, its like how you got limos, coupes, and 4x4s, but they are all motor cars.
