WTF - I spoke to the promoter last night who confirmed Limewax was landing on a plane in Melburn Friday and leaving Saturday and the timezone difference certainly ain't enough to be doing both partys in one day???

On one site (http://www.obscure.co.nz/events/descend_feat_limewax) it has "Single pass to Descend feat. Limewax 1 to give away on Thu 7 Dec 2006" - maybe it was a typo. I will keep everyone in the loop.

That site shows that the gig is on the 8th too, but the giveaway is to be given away on the 7th - the day before.

This wellington gig has been organised by friends of mine and looks like a shit situation for them or you.

I'd be hitting up the agent that sold you the act before posting anything further on message boards (both this one and my one) that may create confusion and doubt with the punters.

Once both of you (the respective promoters) know whats going on, then make a statement.

Standard procedure around here is to make
an assumption based on some less than credible information and then
start flaming everyone left right and centre.

Then the promoter gets
on the boards after about 3 days of flaming and cracks the shits at
their clientele thus ruining their reputation... Geez! Get it right!

It seems that a miscommunicatin between the Australian promoter and New Zealand promoter has meant a double booking with us and the Descend crew in NZ.

Deals are currentlty being worked out but it looks as though Limewax will not be landing here til Saturday - however, that being said, we are trying to put something else together and a 'drastically' reduced ticket price but my mobile is flat and I'm stuck at work for a few hours.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but as soon as I can give more details, you'll all be the first to know. He is keen as f%#k to play and we are keen as f%#k to hear him so soemthing will be worked out.

Please note that this was definitely not our (Collateral Damages) doing and was a large f^$k up in communication between organising tour promoters.
