Totally Agree D - I had a great mechanic for the Fiats out in Wonga Park who had a yard full of reconditioned parts which made things cheaper.

86 Jag is nice.

that Peugeot is absolutely beautiful Foo.

Charlie - let me know if you would like contact for the Wonga Park fiat contact. There is alkso a mechanic in Box Hill called Aldo motors that specialises in Alpha, Lada & Fiat (not sure if it's there still, used to be on Canterbury Rd)

Blax - is the Dato yours?

I looked at the new Peugeot 407 Coupe the other day - V NICE!!

Ask the giant Badger in reception for some Charlie - it might brighten your day :)

This will only make sense if the badger is still in reception and you've seen 'it's all gone a bit Pete Tong' Sal the TTAN lurker ;)

I think our workgroup manager has finally lost the plot (GEM stands for Geo-Environmental Management)
All
I am happy to provide you all with todays fun filled, action packed itinerary. I think we at ClubGEM have come up with a little bit of something for everyone.

9.00-9.25 Working hard
9.25-11.15 Working hard some more
11.15-11.16 Break
11.16-12.30 Working Hard again
12.30-12.45 Lunch
12.45-2.00 Back to it, you guess it more working hard
2.00-3.00 For those who have projects with soil remediation bent - EnviroPacific presentation. For the rest we have really stepped it up and scheduled in some more working hard
3.00-4.00 With the end of the day in sight and thoughts of the weekend in the mind what better way to spice things up a bit and close out the week with a final intense hour of working hard.
4.00-5.00 WGM South Western Drilling was coming in to present on some of their new capabilities but have had to pull out. So we will arrange something just as fun.
5.00 onwards Free time

Here's a story

Once upon a time there lived a happy group of people in a glorious land called GEM. The land was filled with the best-est people you could imagine and they were revered among the wider Melbourne world.

In order to keep everyone happy, the sun shining and the birds a'chirping everyone completed there timesheets by 2pm on Friday. This made GEM land an even better place (to cries of 'we didn't think it could get any better but it has, wow!!') and they all lived happily ever after.

The End

Back to working hard people, we at ClubGEM like to stick to the itinerary to ensure your own safety and optimum value for money.
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

It cost $15 usually. Not sure if it's just cos it's "after dark". Think they have live entertainment or something as well on the night.

Diplo: Definitely, I think a lot of the young kids they don’t even know the sample. Me and you are from a different generation that grew up with that music, and these kids, they’re growing up on M.I.A., and she represents The Clash to them. There’s not any other artist that is forward-thinking, doing stuff that sounds cutting-edge, and also songs that are quality. [The young kids] just kind of got the pop stuff — they need something that has a strong backbone.
interesting...
i'm not sure that sampling the clash into an MIA track makes MIA today's clash...
or that it makes her forward thinking. more so it makes her producer (diplo) backwards referencing. which is fine and cool especially when you create something fresh. just that as conjecture/that kind of labeling sounds like a bit of BS to me

plus how can you claim to know what 'the kids' like, need, and want when so obviously distancing yourself from their generation. all that crud about hypemachine, short attention spans etc. maybe there's some truth in it but still massive generalisation

I agree that sampling the Clash does not make you as good as the Clash. Forward thinking is one my current pet hate phrases in relation to music, people use it all the time. What is forward thinking anyway!

I do think its fair to say that Diplo has got his finger on the pulse. As to what the kids want, I make generalisations about that all the time.

They want multi-rave, stupid wobble, pseudo rock and Kate Nash. Pesky kids.

I would go so far to say that Gen Y's on the whole are pretty well musically integrated and eclectic in a way that Gen X'ers weren't

Music was more tribal and segregated even in the 90's than it is now. Loyalty is dead etc.
