I watched the best movie last night.
"Shelter' about a surfy guy who does graff and stencils who finds out he is gay, and gets through the tricky part with his family and friends and is finally happy with other hot surfy guy. So cute.

So cute, great cinematography, fantastic acting and the lead was :smt007

saw My Sister's Keeper the other week.

do not recommend seeing this at the cinema, 20 minutes in to the movie, and i reckon the entire audience were in tears til the end of the movie. Pretty good movie all in all, but far too sad imo

Watched 'Disco Pigs' yesterday, movie about two babies born on the same day that grow up pretty much inseperable and then get themselves into a whole load of shit through adolesence.
Fucking INTENSE irish accents, had to really concentrate to make it all out, and they spoke in a kind of shorthand language of their own.
One of the best monologues in a movie ever is Pig in his room speaking of how he wishes to sleep with Runt because 'we not no bubba anymore', so intense. Also some great imagery in the movie.
However, left me REALLY sad, ending is quite depressing even though it is vague.

would have been 3 out of 5 if not so damn depressing, so one star gone. 2.

District 9 was fucking amazing. The director has made an incredible film for $30mil when shit like GI Joe cost $170 to make lol.

Really well shot, well acted - some of the best CG i've ever seen.

REC is a wicked film... There is some shitty U.S remake called Quarantine. Definitely a must see.

Loved it from start to finish, best CGI I have ever seen bar none.

Insanely clever film, incredibly detailed.

Best Sci-Fi film in years.

I liked the holes. They didn't detract from the story, and let you come to your own conclusion about what happened. Very few movies can do that properly.

yeah, i persevered and it def had potential, but FUCK that ending ffs.
it ended, it was stormy, and it felt like i should go slit my wrists and give up on anything resembling life/love/normality.
instead i ran around the house with yoshi and put a mindless comedy on. fixed.

I gave that one the BUs. Really enjoyed it. 9/10.

Friends travelling in the US have all been talking about District 9. I'll have to check it out.
