Good work Bo!! Awesome.

Big up the weekend. Seriously, for me and my fam, fucking BEST weekend ever. My dad would have been 56 last Sunday, so having his team win by that amount was for me, a hello from heavan. Bloody perfect. My brother couldnt be happier, the sun is shining, my puppies can chase lizards all day now the sun is out, everything is so colourful. Hybernation is OVER! <3

BU writing a glowing reference letter for a Staff Award for one of our office peeps, who is amazing. Without her, the bastard conference would never have happened and she has to work with the evilest, most incompetent, dried-up toad of an office manager. She deserves $750!
BU me for managing to write a two page reference letter that didn't mention the evil, incompetent, dried-up toad once :retzielikes:

Small downs to missing my Roget :(. Intertron offerings for 'exemplary' are completely fucking useless. 'Not too shabby'? GTFO.

Bigups the government publicly declaring that there is no link between licensed music venues and alcohol fuelled violence.
This means they will hopefully re negotiate the current retarded rules about music/punter numbers and security guard ratios that put places like the Tote out of business.

finally!

Indeed. Unfortunately for Bruce Milne (previous tote boss), somebody had to lose everything before anything happened.

Now to stop appartments being built next to music venues.

i know, sad but true.

i highly doubt the developers will be stopped by anyone tbh.

maybe they should just rent/sell them to people with a clause that they understand they are going to be living near a live music venue and they waive all rights to be assholes about it later?

:)

Re: The Big Up Thread

Posted: Fri Oct 08, 2010 2:29 pm

too true i think. i would NEVER move next to a music venue. Its not every day of the week you want to listen to that places choice in tunes. So why move there? So stupid!

Re: The Big Up Thread

Posted: Fri Oct 08, 2010 2:31 pm

a clause on the sale doesn't change the noise protections under law unfortunately. the live music taskforce committed to implementing the 'agent of change' concept, makign noise assessment and control the job of the developer. its the only way. You would have to look at how well that was implemented

BU's dinner tonight with my fav gal!
