Fuck yeah - we just landed a sample unit... It looks, feels and functions as sick as it's meant to... I've only had a quick run on it - but fuck it's solid. Will give it a decent run up soon.

We should be seeing in stock in around 3 weeks.

Looks the business. But its not very flexible, not much in the way of generic controls on it. Be more interesting to see the decks cut off and sold seperate as a midi-controller. I think its a nice idea, but ultimately it'll end up a rich kids toy when they want to get into DJ'ing.

Yeah it's not meant to be flexible. The whole point of this unit is rock solid stability. That's the design brief.

Everything on the controller works seamlessly with the bundled Serato Itch software. The software and the unit were developed in unison to give you a fail-safe, all-in-one package.

Also, this thing is a tank. It's a full metal chasis. Well designed, and well put together - pretty bloody heavy TBH.

The only thing it's missing is an effects processor. Or even some send and returns.

Other than that, it's a beast. The track search strip is a handy addition. The sync function takes any possible skill out of beat mixing and the CP-Pro x-fader is the business.

That looks a really nice product - it's great to see someone moving away from the whole "MIDI controller to be mapped however you want it" thing... the biggest reason I don't switch to a laptop + MIDI controller is they're all too generic, trying to please too many people, and when you actually come to use it, all the buttons look the same and you're like "oh, wait, what did I just tweak?". If someone made a MIDI controller that was essentially a condensed version of a Pioneer mixer + 2 CDJs designed to run with Serato, I'd be all over it... coloured lights + knobs FTW. This looks like it comes pretty close.

Price?

Price... $3,999.00inc RRP.

Street price should be just under $3K. $2,899.00inc advertised @ Store DJ.

It's not exactly cheap - but nor is the build. And bear in mind this includes both the hardware and software. Even got a laptop stand attached for yo ass (or your laptop).

For those interested, there's a product launch next Tuesday 24th March @ Store DJ from 6.30pm on with DJ's Wasabi and Flagrant. Should be a sweet presentation.
