I gotta say i would never consider going to take on the muzza's at Summerdayze but fuck me, there is some good acts this year........

Carl Cox, Evil Nine, Infected Mushroom LIVE (hell yeah), Krafty Kuts and Treasure Fingers (I never thought I'd see the day when someone from Evol Intent playing at Summerdayze).

Having never been before, do you rekcon it would be worth the effort?

This is a gig that sells tickets before it announces the line up.

i dont see why not if ur interested in a couple of the artists on the lineup...at the end of the day only reason i go out to gigs/events is for the love of music..shouldnt matter what the crowd is.

side shows around NYE are rare arn't they. Acts usually fly into one city and straight out again to another. Now NYE lasts from 31st till the 2nd they can fit 3 or 4 gigs in 48 hours.

Been to a few muzzadayze and they are getting more freaky and worse - its all about the fake gucci glasses, fake tan, kung fu slippers.. not much about the music which is sad unless you wanna people watch.. The super fans (which i presume is most people on this site) tend to get crushed out... Dayum!

Best was Freestylers in 00 or 01 (I think..) who mixed up a cracking set on a little side stage so you could get up close and personal and watch Matt and Aston and Sirreal work a crowd of about 50..

Lineup looks pretty good actually! I went to a Summadayze in about 2003, had a great day, actually much better than expected. Didn't spend much time at the main stage, all the "big" acts were there, mostly trance stuff so didn't get into it so much. Cassius was playing on a smaller stage at the back to about 150 people or so, all really getting into it. There was a huge muzza contingent, but all were pretty pilled up and just trying to look hot. Didn't have any problems at all. Maybe it's changed... But even though it's completely out of my usual sphere, I enjoyed it from an anthropological perspective, getting an insight into a different subculture...and I got mashed..

It is a surprisingly good lineup given the quality of them for any festivals over the last 2 years.
But I will probably also be hoping to see some exciting alternatives.. breaks party, yes please!
