you use your ears surprisingly. most professional DJs can pick it easily

also because they gotta do it excusively on decks only if they win. and that would make a complete cock outta most serato/laptop djs.

sounds like its open-genre eh?

cant believe we get to meet the kidds as a the prize, im goin to record mine asap

if you can mix on serato you can mix without serato.. it's laptop djs who'd cop that flak..

Pretty behind the times that you can't use Serato/Traktor etc... you could just as easily burn all the tracks at the same BPM to CD, in the order you want to play them, and even save your cue points... not sure what they're trying to accomplish by making it vinyl/CD only.

happpy hardcore has the same 'dubplate' culure as dubstep afaik.
there are many parallels between these sister genres.

But this isn't happy hardcore yo... it's hardstyle, hard dance and techno....

Mr. Bonsai: for an "upcoming" DJ comp, it's a little odd that they exclude the modern age DJ'ing medium.

'modern age' dj medium = auto beat match/sync. auto fail imo

hard copy & decks or GTFO

Drag your tracks in, once they are done serato automatically reads the bpm..

Serato already has that function once you analyze the track.

But obviously pitch control is still needed.

Doesn't Serato already have a BPM detector?

Nah dude.

Just like every other digital DJ app... you use the software or a controller similar to turntables or CDJ's with pitch adjustment/sync.
