33&1/3 ----> Time to rumble in the jungle....

In the first winter of the new millennium, the 33&1/3 series was born.

The brand promised to “push a funk quota to Melbourne’s beat sensitive underbelly by importing electro, breakbeat & hip hop aristocracy, nailed at birth to the fatest beats and rhythms around.” – a bit of a mouth full but five years on, Melbourne has certainly seen a jet load of high class international talent pass through it’s doors under this banner.

The Freestylers graced the decks for the very first 33&1/3 five years ago and they are returning to do it all again. Who celebrates birthdays anyway? this one is five years in the making and there'll be some special suprises for sure...

Well worth the Saturday headache.

Local talent? well you can't go past this mob,

Brewster B, The Alias and melbournes breakbeat love child Lynt...

September 30th POW $40.. be square.

I'm leaning towards Rennie and the Twins too, seen Freestylers more. But, as has been said before, could do the double.

5 years, oh shit, that makes me feel tired.

For some reason I thought the 1st 33 1/3 event was as a side room at the party with Ben Sims at Colonial Stadium. ?? with Soul of Man.

once I decided it would be a nice idea to make a cake for my friend's birthday and bring it along to the party she was having... so I dutifully went to a great deal of effort and made my speciality: sticky date pudding with toffee sauce and whipped cream.

silly me...

Unfortunately these particular friends were my trashy friends and so when I arrived one of the guys immediately grabbed the whipped cream cannister and inhaled all the nos, leaving me with a useless can of unwhipped cream... and then everyone was too wired to actually eat any of my cake...
