geeze i should of passed on Smokey and the Bandit last night, went to 1:45am only for me to get up this morning at 6:30 and head to uni in my old beast as if i was the bandit himself. Some classic lines in it though, one of my fave's:
Sherrif Beaufort T Justice in conversation with idiot of a son:
"my god you certainly didn't come from these loins, i tell you when i get home im going to punch your mamma in the face!"
I saw 2 good things on telle last night. Some doco on Chernobyl, was pretty interesting.
The other was a show called "First 48", anyone else seen this, is ace. Its like the show Cops, but with real life homicide investigations. Its pretty full on too, following the detectives from the moment the call comes in to 48 hrs later (this is apparently the most crucial time for catching the crim). Its like a real life version of Law&Order, well worth the watch.

Yeh caught that Chernobyl doc... don't really like dramatic reenactments but it was interesting to watch. specially that dude who copped 5 lifetimes worth of radiation... and survived.
You'll be surprised at how addictive it is, but yes, the perve factor is what got me watching, but the storylines are what get you hooked, well that and the constant perving on RACHEL BILSON...>>>.>>...>>..

YaY for Rachael She is da bomb!
And BrB - OC rocks the cazbar man. Don't knock it til you try it.
I tried the OC once... it lost me everything. Friends. Family. Pets. I was lost and aimless. I felt dumber after watching every episode. I still feel dumb today.

Dawsons crack sucked ass, I know cos I tryed to watch it a couple of times, but it never grabbed me, but OC is different, and I know many people my age that are into it.

true, OC is addictive as crack, but also true, its fucking garbage.
what you gotta remember is that not only are you training the neurons and synapses in your brain to get off on that shit, but you are applying the same brain conditioning inputs to heaps of other people, making your outlook more like theirs, and propogating the cycle.
its soma, 21st century-style.

Oh mate! GOLD episode, the ammount of stuff that happened... wow. What a great fukn show, the scripting, the drama, the joy....
What makes it different from all the others.... its not made from that awful Spelling... it was created and written by a 28 y.o whose intentions was a show aim at a variety of age groups, and you can tell.

Frud mentioned this before, but it's really worth another look. Curb Your Enthusiasm, with Larry David (Seinfeld creator). I missed these when they were on TV but just watched some on DVD. Too funny!
