^^^ Big ups the Brewster B you mean! :D

Seriously, Breaks Ahoy II was one of my first ever breakbeat experiences. I went by myself, had a Mini Cooper S which overheated rather quickly and found myself lost under the West Gate looking for the bloody boat with about 5 minutes before the ship left.

Was losing it, with people following me as I thought I knew where I was going. Finally found it, grabbed a park and made a dive onto the boat like Weekend at Bernie styles only to find the boat wasn't leaving for another 30 minutes.

Met a bunch of wicked people, remained completely sober and rocked out to this new sound called "breaks". Big ups the Brewster B!

That woobly garage mix of "what ya going to do with a drunken sailor" that gets ripped at these parties better make an appearance.

We'll be landed by midnight, those who want to go to Gimmie can without hassle. Though, we will be having an afterparty at an inner city location. Those details to follow.

Good to see this is back. Breaks Ahoy III was one of my all time favourite parties, despite the fact that it was so cold I wore my ski jacket and polar fleece headband! Unfortunately won't make this one as study lock down is now definitely on

Breaks Ahoy's always go off. I reckon it'll be no problems going to both Gimme and Breaks Ahoy. New Gimme location might be relatively close to where the boat docks, so a short walk may be all that's in order. Then again, my sources could be wrong.

Regardless, will be a good night for beatfreaks.

One of the best parties I have ever been to was Breaks Ahoy with Brewster, Phil K and Ransom!! being only new to Melbs at the time I did not realise what a killer lineup I was witnessing, but I did know at the time that the tunes were rockin!

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for another Breaks Ahoy, so I'm excited!!! 8)

That was one of the first parties I ever went to as well. Had only been in the country for 2 weeks. I remember how cool Ransom was when I asked him about the new T Power track he played. He showed me the record sleeve and everything. My wife had to hold onto me or she would've fallen over when we hit the rough seas. Classic night. 8)

Quick notice to y'all. Breaks Ahoy haven't confirmed an afterparty for themselves nor at Gimmie a Break.

It's all under discussion.

they were the night i went out on a Breaks Ahoy boat cruise! Must admit I was worried about the same thing on the recent Kombat Beats cruise! It all added to the fun of trying to dance as the boat was rolling!

It's been too long... This is goign to be the Breakbeat event of the year...

What I hate with Clubs is it takes 3-4 hours for venue to fill up an then the party starts to rock..with a Boat everyone who is coming is there right from the start and no Dj's play to empty rooms...

Madness...

unless your like me who gets sea-sick watching the little mermaid, in which case the fun is completley drained as my spleen tries to escape through my nostrils.

I get sea sick too sometimes. That night I don't think I did. Other times I hit the ginger tablets.

We saw someone puking over the edge of the deck on the Kombat Beats cruise but we didn't know if it was there pills/drinks upsetting their tum or the waves.

I really should go to this :) Looks wicked, and I was never privileged enough to attend the orginal breaks ahoy.

Could get messy with Gimme later on that night :smt047

:smt027 :smt027 :smt027 :smt027 :smt027 :smt027
Quote from professor bass:
"the reflection of any subsonic bass frequency onto salt water responds in a rather unusual way
giving the listener a natural euphoric high..!!
leading them to believe they having there time of there lives.!!"

now add Rock'n breakbeats with mad bass lines and your gunna have sooo much fun!!

breaksahoy always sells out very fast..!!
no need for early bird tickets, because if ya not a early bird ...! you wont be going..!! get in quick... !!

Party Update
A few things were on the go at the announcement of this party, but they've been cleared so here's the lowdown.

Free BBQ before we set sail!
Melbourne DJ legend D-Jazz will be cooking up a free BBQ before we hit the 7 seas. That's right, free. No need to rush around for dinner before we cast off, as we'll have a BBQ on the boat! Not only that, but our good friends at Brahma Beer (Brazil's finest) have given us several cartons for a free booze on! You can't beat that. Free beer, free BBQ, excellent. Of course you gotta show your ticket before you collect. Bring it!

After party
We're not gonna stop when we hit the dock, we're gonna peg-leg it sideways up Bourke Street to LoopBar to continue the festivities. Entry is free to everyone (not just BreaksAhoy punters) and the breaks will be flowing all night till we get kicked out.

Free BBQ, free beer, BreaksAhoy 5 then a free after party at a lush Melbourne establishment... doing it proper. Arrr!

What a night it's shaping up to be. We've also got a door prize for one lucky breaker to be announced on the boat.

Mad-ness.
