Paid for a limited edition version of the Crystal Method's 'Keep Hope Alive' and it cost me about $160.
Had a bidding war on Ebay with some other arse-hole who desperately wanted it. Cranked the price up dramaticaly.
It's my fave breaks tune of all time, so I just had to have it. I spend about $200 a week on records anyway, so fuck it.

Spent $80AUS for my copy of "Boombox" off Ebay. Just because that was one of the tunes that first got me into electronic music, or at least inspired me to give dj'ing a go. Ol skool Mickey Finn styles--not jungle/dnb either, but early 90's breaks. Only played it out twice, very selective of when it leaves it's vault. I prefer to drool on it once in a while instead.

I should re-phrase that....
I buy 'up to' $200 per week.
Most weeks spend about $140, sometimes more.

I hunt far and wide - I just buy breaks. :D

Yep, I love my breaks. :D
You been buying lately OB1?
I haven't bought any records for about 3 weeks. It's killing me.
Will get back into it again this week.
Been sent a few promo's lately, and I tell you what - 2006 is looking to be a great year for breakbeat. :)

Most expensive for a single plate would have to be Dillinja's 'Never Believe' that I got from 1LC for $60. He and Trooper pressed it themselves since it was never released. Pure acetate baby  I'm afraid to play it anymore cause it's wearing down. Might Ebay it actually...see who bites.

Also got M-Beat's Incredible after Ali G In Da House came out. Bought on ebay for $40 each...got 2, one for me and one for Paranoid Edge. Four weeks later it got repressed and I coulda had it for $12 bucks! Oh well, original pressing of STFU

I love records. :smt049
