Obsidian Empire & Corruption Crew Present:PHACE TONIGHT!

Post by Obsidian Empire »

Phace is comprised of long-time school mates Florian Harres [aka Bluescreen] and Nicolas Ruoff [aka Format], both aged 27. Hailing from Southwest Germany, Phace have been dedicated to refining their own unique sounds since their inception in 1999. With a heavy addiction to deep, futuristic drum and bass, they strive toward the creation of a new rhythmic symbiosis of sounds by combining elements from all and any kind of music. Considering themselves ‘poisoned’ by German industry and media, they’re staunch in their desire to remain unlimited by boundaries created for them and use any form of art as inspiration for their work. Springing forth from the same pack of newbreed tech artists such as Noisia & Misanthrop, Phace have had releases on the prime labels bringing the world the finest cuts of futuristically-funkified drum and bass.

With labels such as Renegade Hardware, Virus and Subtitles all clamouring for a piece and heads worldwide braced for hints of new material, the stage is set and the spotlight is firmly centred on the pair. Phace’s eponymous Subtitles debut E.P, Now and Tomorrow, provides heavyweight sounds and the perfect backdrop for technologically advanced society and an full-length album from the pair is hotly anticipated, rumoured to be dropping on Subtitles in late 2006. With a slew of tight 12”s under their belt and a growing reputation as pure, energy-driven tech drum and bass dons, the melting pot of influences, ideas and abilities promises an explosive mix that dares to cast the future anew in kaleidoscope images. The future approaches and its name is Phace. Can you Phace the Phunk?

Time to phace the demons of your past huh?

Melburn has been long overdure for something like this, an international DJ tour supported by a comkplimentary range of DJs from different crews. I'm looking forward to seeing this town getting a new assole torn in the name of quality drum'n'bass.

maybe you should mention the subject of your song in the lyrics a bit more. just a thought. I don't have many, but you can use that one.

There's no fucking way you could have come up with that tune, everybody knows that.

And no, I don't know where your fucking casio is. I lent it to this guy who said he needed it for a couple of days. That was in May. I'm starting to think he's not coming back.
