Phil K + Danny !!!!

Huge !!!

Dannys set at hybrid was great and pretty much the only decent set of the night. so having him and phil k on one night will be wicked.

Yea whatever, I saw this dude at that aweful place in Hawthorn and he was terrible...Cleared the dancefloor before he even put the third record on.
I keep hearing that he is good but from what I saw that night he was anything but.

I believe you are talking about the infamous set at ROOM which was in support of James Zabiela or something a while back. I do remember hearing about it and the fact that he cleared the dance floor, but a lot of people also said this had just as much to do with the clientele as it did with the set, but agreed that he was off form (which rarely happens).

I have seen Phil K play some absolutley brilliant sets that have absoloutley shattered my brain. Catch him any old night and he yo will be well impressed, catch him on an inspired night and the man will melt your synapses.

The man has skills, no doubt. A master of the CDJ unit. Not a massive fan of the prog tip he was on when I last caught him (some time ago), but that's just a matter of personal preference.

I hardly think any crowd @ ROOM would be worthy to rate someone's skills on.

I mean, don't they like T.V Rock et. al....

Phil k is no:1 for many reasons imo..

Just to name a couple:

He is always pushing boundries. Have it be, style, sound, tricks, you name it.. He is always doing it before everyone else.

He does not play cheese!!!!!

He is a Djs, Dj... He will always inspire young djs, even some of the older ones to go home and try some new stuff that you have just seen him do.

Every set you see him play is different.

these are just some of the reasons why i think he is no:1 and has been for many years.

I did not enjoy the ROOM experience. it could be aphex twin doing a vs. with the autobots and i still wouldn't go back to that place.

Feb 17, I'll lock that in big-time. I missed out on danny/nubreed set on ny so it should be good to catch that.

So who's coming.

I've discovered I have no friends so I need to maybe make some or something just to not look stupid showing up everywhere on my own all the time....

..
....

Anywho, I'm gonna come along i reckon.

I WANT to come but the reality is I'm feeling quite unwell so I really don't see myself making it down. :(

Tis a shame, because it will rock no question

truth be told the music wasn't the only thing, just wasn't getting good chi in there, which is odd because i like that venue.

but it was 4-4 and all these rockstars on the dancefloor, just couldn't get into it.

meanwhile, scotrod played some *wicked* shit.

he he he, i find the dacefloor rockstars good for a bit of a giggle, but that has taken time i suppose.

I know what you mean though, the few times Meat Katie has played at room, the crowd nearly killed it for me, same with Phil K playing there too...

But thats what happens when you see famous House/Electro djs though...
