Thanks man, that makes perfect sense. :D :D it works. i find that time stretching drums hits (especially using the online fucntion in cubase) really messes with the transients. so the break might 'fit' better, but it will sounds crap. I find its much easier to leave the length of the samples alone ...

cut up the break first, don't time stretch.

move each hit onto its own chanel / track (kick, snare, hat etc.)

eq / process each hit to taste.

buss all the hits to a group chanel, process to taste.

layer individual hits as needed.

bounce each hit with this processing.

import & arrange.

win.

yeah it depends on what you are sendin the velocity data too. you can use it for anything, but mostly the default is amp / volume.

varying the velocity of your sub can make it more interesting, rather than just a constant volume.

you detune one of the oscs -5, and the other +5, therefore the difference is made up in percieved tone, and the bass isnt out of tune ie it thickens the OSCs sound as long as they are detunes the same amount away from centre (opposite ways) your note will still be the same yar. you run into big tro...

yeah, you're right. SACD is only good when its recorded as DSD (or DXD) or re-mastering old tape. . the old tape thing is a bit funny too tapes are bias towards the mid frequencys, highs are very coloured and have minimal response, so when you are talking about 50khz plus, they bearly exist on the ...
