if you have the cd image files on your hard drive you could 'mount' them using a program like Daemon Tools. This will creat 'virtual' disk drive which you can load the images into, the computer will just think you have the disks in the drive. its a freeware app i think. Ohhh sweet, i have the image...

so I am guessing this is how you descide what key your kick is in?? ahh yes a note - frequency chart may help. but i think you are confusing key with pitch. a single note (pitch) cannot have a key as such. you need a chord (or progression) to form a key. now am I right in thinking the fundamental or key of that sound is the frequency peaking the highest in this readout? yes, most of the time. but it doesnt really apply to the key of the track. you can't determine the key simply by defining the fundamental. and the HPF issue: the GUI on the vst plug...
