$3 at the Nike Store (Smith St and in the city) scores you a wrist band and helps people around the world who are living with cancer. Proceeds benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Yeah, definately a fantastic cause. Either buy them, or purchase daffodils aplenty

Gotta agree wif Stovequeen on this. While it's a great cause, there's something a bit fucking wrong with Nike supporting this shit when they happily keep children as slaves.

Does it matter if you're mostly yellow to begin with?
Many many people are working to cure cancer. I hear far less in the news about exploited children being paid extremely substandard wages.

I did a study on Nike and although the conditions and the pay isn't as crash hot as western society Nike arn't as bad as these campaigners make them out to be. Business is a lot about reputation and pleasing the stakeholders, Nike in no wants a negative image. I spose Nike portray the white and campaigners portray the black. IMO.

I dunno, personally I don't have any problems with Nike providing a point-of-sale for the wrist bands.
Questionable business practices or not, Nike doesn't keep any money from the sales, so I really think it's a non-issue.
I don't think we would have refused their offer if they had've wanted to help out with Beat Aid.
Nevertheless, if you still want a wrist band you can buy it online directly from the Lance Armstrong foundation without having to set foot in a Nike store.

Thanks.

Hehe.. not so sure you can really claim to be 'nike'-wearing Lucas, but otherwise a sound argument!
