ive built PC's a million times (its like me job you know) so i was all like yeah fucken this is gunna be rad.
wacked it all in. cards and all cos i was pretty confident it was gunnae work. loaded up the XP SP2 cd. got past the initial file copy stage then BAM! blue screen.
hmm. tried again. same thing. double more concerned hmm. tried a XP SP1 cd. got further, like into the graphical stage. then blue screen.
decided to take out all the extra cards i put in, a stick of ram. even gave the RAM some more juice and turned off any onboard stuff like Firewire, RAID, LAN, etc in the BIOS. only 1 HDD plugged in.
finally got XP SP2 to install last night.
so i starting sticking the PCI cards in. started with my sound card. all good. then i stuck in the WiFi card, all good.
stuck the other 512 RAM chip in and went back into the BIOS and turned the other stuff on. all good.
started downloading some drivers and shit. then BAM! reboot.
now it gets to the welcome screen adn reboots.
so i did some card removing, and even tried safe mode, still reboots at this point.
lame.
so i thought it could be either RAM, PSU, WiFi card, bad Mobo.
loaded up Knoppix with everything plugged in. and its fine. so i reckon it might be the Mobo not likeing one of the above things.
gunna run memtest86 on the cunt of a thing tonight. if thats fine. i reckon its a dodgy mobo. fucken.
fecking lame fecking cunting fucknuckle.
