BIG NEWS

Tommorow we will be announcing a major gig, with everyone's fave hard breaks internationals - back in OZ, and playing Gimme again.
You'll see the posters when you walk in the door - very exciting stuff.
Plus we will be doing another major international in April.
Sounds pretty good hey?

Gimme will be Bi-monthly at Public Office, and have no doubt it is our home base.
But, we will be doing gigs in between EVERYWHERE - and will even be having a serious rock out in the not too distant future at the soon to be totally renovated Brown Alley - it will be a once off thing, a trip down memory lane, and lots of fun.

We have a warehouse party planned too - how cool will that be?
3 of Melbourne's best nights combining inot a multi genre extraveganza of Breaks, Electro and D&B in three differnet HUGE rooms. :D

Anyway, the reason I put this post up, is just so you know the deal.
Gimme is Public Office from now on all the way, and our parties will be bigger and better than ever - but we are branching out to give you the best we can in between.
Hope that is cool with you all?
See you all tomorrow night! 8)

More info as we announce the gigs. :D
scriptomundo. 8)

Two of the most respected and active producers in breakbeat today gracing the decks at Gimme in the next couple of months and some really cool side projects coming to life also.

I like music. 8)

Well if you wanna get crazy technical like we've actually got four internationals coming cuz this is how I see it.... The one from North America plays and produces under two well established names with two completely different sounds so he is prolly gonna be billed and play under both names/both sounds. 8)

Wicked party everyone!
Thanx to everyone for making it such an incredible success.
And thanx to everyone who helped set up, worked, or put their bit in for the night.
Was all really hard work, but all so worth it in the end - we've found our new home.

Special thanx go out to Ferris - for letting us use his gear - incredibly appreciated. :smt023
To Jimmy from 'Full-Scale' for helping us with out sound probs before the gig - absolute champ, and funny bastard to boot. :D
To the girls on the door - who voluteered their services. Thanx heaps.
To all the Dj's who put on rocking performances - one and all. There was not a half-ass performance all night - you should all be very proud.
The Lucid visuals guys - who are champs - and always make our job so much easier with their dedication and loyalty.
And also Phil Ransom - for being a hell of a nice bloke, having a great chat, playing a wicked set, and helping me out when a ball of dust the size of a pine-apple lodged under the needle of the third track in in my set, and I couldn't get it out, even when it was distorting the shit out of the whole tune.
Thanx Phil, much appreciated - will see you soon mate. :D

One of my fave Gimme's so far - love the new venue.
Hope you all had a great time too? Looked like it to me - the place was on fire!! :D

Next Gimme party is on the 24th of March - for a once-off stint at Brown Alley - and we are hosting THE BREAKFASTAZ again, and if their show is anything like last years, then it may be one of the biggest gigs of the year.

Also, in April it's back to Public Office, and we are hosting a very high profile Canadian DJ/Producer - one of my personal faves, and for anyone who's right into their breaks he is an absolute legend.

Looking forward to it! :D

If you would like to join our mailing list, then please forward your deets to...

We'll fill you in on everything going on, as it happens.

Thanx heaps guys. See you soon! 8)

One more thing - top work Guyno - for playing with a partially fucked hand.
It must've hurt, but you did a good job, and after a tough few weeks, having the crowd go off like that was a well deserved treat - which you've worked hard for.
See you soon!

Great night fellas, props to the gimme crew for putting on a great party and the punters for vibing all night.

Love the new venue, really suits gimme well. Thought the visuals worked much better in that space and the sound was tops. Props to Guy for an awesome set, had the crowd going off and all that with a shattered hand. Props to Evil too, that new tune of yours is fantastic, great vocals too (Min :smt049 ).

Great sets from everyone (Ransom showed us all a thing or two!).

Loved the outdoor action and the silly dancing.

Thanks gimme for having Brainstorm on the bill, we really enjoyed kicking off festivities.

You guys rock :headbang:

Public Office already feels like home. I love that joint!

To everyone who made it down and got silly, THANKYOU. You guys were rockin' my socks off!

Brainstorm honestly showed one of the most impressive displays of how an opening set should be played that I have EVER seen. Thanks so much guys. 8) and thanks for the Thomas birthday cake.

Shifty rocked out in true Shifty style as only that badman can. Nice one brother.

Every now and then I think I may have earned the right to develop just a little bit of healthy ego and then along comes a dude like Ransom who brings that illusion crashing down like the Berlin Wall! INCREDIBLE SKILLS, INCREDIBLE PLAYER, and a hell of a nice guy to boot. THAT IS ALL!!!

Evil some bad arse styles in there. Love yer new choon too and thanks for all your support! Nice one brother!

Ferris. You are a fucking crazy man and a diamond geezer. Loving what I heard but to be honest I was well smashed due to a few too many tequila shots by now. Thanks Ingrid. :smt030

Sleiker played a nasty ass closer. Boooooooo Selekta!!! Tasty tunes alway.

Lucid Lads just keep getting better and better. Thanks for the customised girly madness and thanks for all your help.

SPONK. You are da man! :smt066 :smt034

Enough of my dribble.

Lookin forward to the Breakfastaz @ the Alley of Brown and also the next Gimme at P.O

Big area to fill. Three rooms. We had just under a 100 people through in the first hour, so it wasn't too bad early on
Yes, 1:30 saw it cranking though, and is the usual time for a Melbourne breaks party to kick off, and the time I really gauge how the night is going to turn out.
Very happy with all results.
Can't wait to get back there again.
Best place to play since before they fucked up Republika. I personally had a ball, and so did everyone else by the crowd reaction/size, smiles on faces etc.
Good vibe in there too. :D

I really love that venue - Public Office.
It's perfect for Gimme. :D

I loved the new venue, loved the tunes and loved the ability to take the vibe any way you wanted it - rockin the floor, chatting at the bar, hanging outside or conducting planning sessions in the Boardroom.

Variety is the spice of a good night out!!

Big ups boys, quality all the way...

Thanx Glenny.
Yeah everyone at first were like rats running around a maze. Then they became familiar with the place found their spots, and rocked out.
Love that grungy club feel.
When a club is too plush I don't feel at ease.
New venue is just so suited to what we do.
Glad everyone had a good time - we really did have a ball.

(Will be looking for flying dust balls next time though :D )

You know in all my years of playing, and the hundreds of gigs I've played, I've never had anything even remotely like that happen before.
What a pisser! I had Ransom save me. :D
