sydney sider feeling lost and lonely in melbourne

Hay everyone

I thought it would be best to ask the locals about where should i go to get the best electronic music in melbourne, preferably D'n'B, breaks, really anything with a heavy nasty grime bassline

I've been suggested places such as the workshop, revolver, the lounge? what do ppl think about these places? Also whats the laundry like in melbourne?

I'm planning to go to the pendulum gig in melbourne

its so going to kick sydney's ASSSSSS! hahah luna park venue? mmm thats bad...

Anyways any suggestions would be great

if anyone wants the low down on sydney i'd be happy to help too!

i think you are on the right track matey. Just check out the local nights in Melbs which are all listed here (first and second pages generally) and you'll be sweet as

depends on what nights you want to go out......

Lounge tonight has breaks upstairs, and hip-hop DnB downstairs....

Friday, don't listen to what people here say, go to fractured.

Saturday, go to revolver after 2am for some deep breakbeat action.

hello and welcome, those clubs suggested are nice clubs indeed, though only on specific night do they play what your after.
Lounge downstairs on Thursday nights
Revolver Sat night from midnight in front room = breaks etc

otherwise, check out Croft institute, Fractured Friday Night @Brown Alley, Miss Libertine is putting on some good shows coming up, shit, there is heaps, i'll let others fill in the blanks

I've noticed that melbourne definatly has the D'n'B scene happening much more than sydney so i'm looking foward to it bigtime

As Almax said, great clubs but you'll find they have different genre's on different nights.

Same goes for Laundry.

This website is a great guide. As are the street press rags Beat and Inpress.
