DJ Krush-Stepping Stones / The self remixed best -
22$ at JB double cd, all quality, got all my fave mcs remixed, best cd listened to since tiphop.
1 CD of 'lyricism' 1 of 'Soundscapes' moody and dark.
Atmosphere-You cant imagine how much fun were having.
Pretty good 'emo hip-hop' dont like as much as older atmosphere predictably. still got repeat play potential when
you want to explore your methed out girl problems mid america counter personality.
Lady Sovereign - Vertically challenged.
Its allright, but I dont think ill be listening to it again in one go. Track by track its good, together not so.

there's a couple of tracks I'm a bit iffy about, one even reminds me of BEP but alot of it is straight up J5
I've been caning it in the car and it's really bass heavy too, which is cool
gotta give it more of a listen.
$18 at JB

Greville Records is an absalute gold mine!! Not that I should share that because i do plan on buying everything they have in stock at some point. (tattslotto). THey will order anything you want in too. I prefer to give my money to independants.buuts wrote:is there a better place to find electronic based music CD's, than places like JB etc?
Im after so many cd's at the moment but have to resort to buying off websites

Yeah, it's definitely best to support indies and Greville is my pick of those. Even Missing Link has some interesting stuff. Actually, Polyester's got the best range IMO, but their prices are unforgivable. There's no excuse for a $10 mark up.DBoy wrote:Greville Records is an absalute gold mine!! um last week i got busta rhymes - big bang......hmmm. not sure exactly what i was thinking, its not too bad but all the guests suck. stevie wonder song is shit. good singalong album for 3 minutes till you switch songs.
also got jemini + dangermouse its pretty ra with good guests (alkoholics!) and beats. not something thats great to listen to from start to finish.
everytime i go to get cds i can NEVER find any breaks or dnb stuff tho and end up buying kelis.

Finally found this at JB in city of all places. Love the mood of this style. Since i first downloaded a Pinch Mix set last year around this time when ever i buy i am looking for stuff in this genre.
Drop the Lime - We never sleep.
I had no idea what i was buying. For some reason it reached out to me, was $15 so i thought fukit. I think i must have seen his name on a grime set tracklist or something. THis is gold. Grime, break, techno, electro goodness. some absalute gems IMO. A lot of stuff that will fit into a dubstep set if slowed down, but with US accents on the jams, nice.
Still listening to this. Have skipped about 5 tracks with out even giving a full listen. It is more indy that breaks to start with. fukit. Was at least hoping for one gold Freestylers moment... ahhhhhh.

you know albums are good when they get stolen AND you are willing to fork out to buy them again. That is the case with the first two here.
and
Love the fact that it is a reissue, kinda make re-buying it worth it cause i got this little bunch of remixes. Can't wait to get home and listen!! mmmmmmm. tasty.
1. "Hold On To Me" (vocal dub)
2. "Degrees"
3. "Sincere" (Wookie remix)
4. "Crazy Love" (Todd Edwards Underground remix)
5. "Hold On To Me" (Bandelero El B vocal mix)
6. "Crazy Love" (MPC mix)
7. "Tired Games" (Nuyorican Soul mix)
8. "Sincere" (Jazzanova Sincerely Yours remix)
9. "Wondering Why" (Recloose vocal mix)
And i got this too --- few tracks on the first one that will prolly end up being played at my funeral or wedding, so have to know what he has done here.
