The members of Common Knowledge have been playing live shows and festivals together for 4 years. Common Knowledge has just experienced the process of reincarnation. Soulful R’n’B is the butterfly that emerged from the Melbourne band’s year-long hiatus, writing fresh grooves and paving a new musical direction. They are returning to First Floor’s stage because you asked for it!! With supports from Mafia, Ayna and A-Style.

This Sat night First Floor brings you the boy that goes to sleep every night and dreams of lands filled with nothing but vinyl LP's, flying basslines and kick drums that punch you like Ali, your chief resident Kano! He drops in for a taste of eclectic jazz and funk-fuelled grooves, known well for his ability to cross far-expanding genres in a single leap, sourcing hip hop, reggae, funk, nu jazz, breaks, house, latin, drum&bass and other cosmic beats from his ever-expanding collection. he'll turn the turntables back to normal at some stage through the night to make room for Elvis who will bring in some congas, some timbales and a swag of smaller percussion instruments to throw around alongside Sir Kano
