GOTD people who don't turn up for housemate interviews. GRRR.

I've never had it happen before but this time, it's happened 3 times where ppl have made an appointment to look at the room and just not bothered to turn up. Pisses me right off! How hard is it for you to txt and cancel? Esp. pissed off about the no show last week when i took time off work to go home for the appointment.

Urgh, not looking forward to interviews at all. Just count yourself lucky you're not housemate hunting in Oklahoma...
I do attend church and believe heavily in outreach to those in need. I will attend studies and plan on being involved in a local house church as a means of getting plugged in.
...
I’ll be in town on the 16th as the local church has “Big Sunday” or something similarly titled where all the students get hooked up with church families for the upcoming year (i.e. dinners, trips, etc).
Not sure I could feel any more out of place in that place :?

News flash motherfuckers, you are NOT the most important people on the planet. Boozy lunches and suckholing for business is not actually your only function.

Lazy fuckwits. Give me a fucking break and help me out with a basic courtesy and beleive it or not, your precious fucking clients will get there cash back quicker. FFS :banghead: :banghead:

gripe to the constant back and forth going on in my head

thought 1: i want a cigarette, why on earth am i quitting? i love them so!!!! Oh how i miss you my sweet sweet friend you have been with me through the good times and the bad times.

thought 2: no i don't like cigarettes, they are bad for me, i will save money, we want to buy a house and can't afford too, cutting back on things will help us get there, ciggies cost SO much its a waste of money!!!

It's so much easier to quit when you're sick, so cuddle up to someone with a cold.

interesting.....

Financial saving is a benefit....

Try this one....

Think about something that is overtly ridiculously important to you - family, friends, lover, pet etc. Then think about how the long term affects of smoking will affect these people if you do get ill or are affected.....

My mum told me that one.....

nah that one never works for me, cos i have convinced myself too well that i don't care about dying from ciggies or hurting those around me. very bad addiction justification right there

the house one is definitely working i must say.

i just feel so flat today. i really feel like going home or to a hotel where there is no one else around me and just quietly watching trashy tv. The boy and i are getting snappey at each other which isn't helping, and hence the wanting to be alone. If i can just get passed the next couple of days i think i will be home clear...

Vodafone can suck my unwashed dick. HAs anyone here tried using their "Customer service" speech recognition thing? Those things suck at the worst of times, but Vodafone's takes the cake. Fucking hopeless. Then you get to speak to someone and the experience really starts becoming shit.

Every project I work on seems to be cursed with a lack of ecological trigger levels. Been combing the literature for toxicity of ammonia to marine ecosystems and all that I can find is "because of the lack of research on marine systems, no guideline values are available".

The other thing that is grinding my gears is the complete and utter ignorance of basic ecosystem concepts, like the nitrogen cycle, eutrophication and the role of detritivores and symbiotic relationship. The fucking CSIRO even left out an entire Kingdom (the fungi) in their soon-to-be-released update despite the fact that pretty much every plant in Australia has a dependence on mycorrhizal symbiotes and without them we would have no eucalypts, acacias, hakea, casurinas mellaleucas etc. Can't believe that the government-funded science agency could screw up that badly.

Wow.... storm hitting Melburn looks pretty cool... I'm going to look out the window and quit whinging.
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."
