I just got back from doing an environmental audit site visit and I've just realised I stole the client's digital camera. Also just realised it is Tuesday... all morning I thought it was Monday. Would explain the strange look I got when I said that my brain hadn't started cos it was Monday morning.

Going to Brisvegas to watch the boy and his bro do a set. It is in a club in 'the valley', and apparently we are staying there too. What is this valley place like?? I'm getting alarming mental images of LA, fake tan and Warwick Capper wearing nothing except a mullet and gold mincing shorts.
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."

lol at all CIA.

Valley is one a strip about 10 mins walk from city. One street with no cars and different colours bricks and a few pubs on a raod here and there.

In Brissy that is 'an area'. About midnight when the cerfew kicks in the valley becomes a punch on and backpackers run screeming down the streets in their bikinis wondering how they had got into a zoo so late at night.

Cheers! The gig is at some place called The Empire (or Empress or Emancipated or something). Won't be wandering off on my own cos I won't know anyone and don't want to be found chopped up in a dumpster.

Full on... me too! I'm trying hard. Told my boss that I thought it was highly irresponsible of her to keep me here, and that the government had advised me to leave. She said I could go if I received a personalised request from the government telling me to leave. So basically i've shut my yap and am working again.

my friend who works in Afganistan sent me this 'joke' today

'What's the difference between the USA and Iran?

In the USA, they have Obama, Stevie Wonder, Bob Hope, Johnny Cash...
In Iran, we have Ahmadinejad, no wonder, no hope, no cash

[Well the government has loads of cash, they just dont share it with their people]

its true, but its not really funny.

I was quite concerned about whether I would make it home yesterday afternoon. As it turns out, I made the right decision to go home early; nothing happened to me and I made the 500 meters from work to my apartment completely unscathed. If I had ventured out when the front had hit my umbrella could easily have been turned completely inside-out, rendering it next-to-useless (a scenario that still gives me shivers when I contemplate it).
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."
