Is Your Group Ready for Radio? Play to Thousands, Score $10k
Need radio exposure or want the record companies to hear your original tracks? Australia’s hottest unsigned artists have the opportunity to kick start their careers and showcase their music with the return of Nova’s I Am with The Band.
Following the launch of I Am With The Band last year, with over 1000 Australian bands entering their original tracks, in 2011 Nova has secured support from the Australian Government’s National Drugs Campaign, to give a new round of up and coming bands the opportunity to score airplay and cash.
Last year’s winner, Adelaide band The Touch, said, “I Am With The Band raised our profile, particularly nationally, and gave us some great opportunities to play both local and interstate gigs. The win also allowed us to build a strong relationship with the Nova team in Adelaide, from which we have had ongoing involvement with the station and continue to receive local radio play, perform at Nova live gigs and feature on radio segments.”
If you’re part of an emerging band or know someone who’s in one, you can enter I Am With The Band online at www.novafm.com.au by simply registering an original song.
Ten shortlisted bands will be selected by an industry judging panel to receive radio exposure on Nova and perform in front of a live crowd at Nova events. The winning band will be determined by popular vote, registered through novafm.com.au, and will score $10,000 cash for their efforts.
The National Drugs Campaign is a proud supporter of I Am With The Band, which is the ideal platform for educating young Australians about the risks and harm of illicit drug use. During the competition youth will be encouraged to ‘face facts’ about ecstasy, such as you never know what’s in it.
Nova’s I Am With The Band launches on Monday 7 February with registrations closing on 13 March. The 10 finalists will be announced on 21 March.

Ecstasy does not wreck the mind, study claims
Previous research was flawed, say experts, but findings will shock those who campaign against the drug's use

facing facts?
Is one of those facts simply that the government doesn't want you to take it?

If we could get any good ecstasy hopefully all these stupid anti-ecstasy that isn't ecstasy campaigns would stop.
