Pesto

An Italian sauce made with basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil and Parmesan cheese. Many variations of this sauce exist, which may vary in the type of cheese, nuts and herbs that are used. Pesto is traditionally used as a pasta sauce but may be used to season other dishes also.

... now i think maybe we should lock this thread and never speak of pesto ever again!

Sure, you can talk about the traditional green basil pesto, but what about red pesto made with pureed semi-sun dried tomatoes, garlic and a little vegetable oil? Goes well with salami and fetta cheese on crusty bread,

Pesto rocks and all the haters of something with more than one flavour can go drink a bottle of Heinz tomato sauce for all I care...
