Got one given to me for free from my school. My kids play on it all the time, my wife runs admin stuff for our business through it and I've read a few things on it. Win!
All of our Year 7 students will be using them next year...we're phasing out the laptops. I prefer to keep my head in the sand and allow technology to sneak up on me and pass me by, but I reckon they're pretty cool. Then again, I didn't pay for mine.

sounds like not such a great thing for kids - terrible for posture unless they come with a stand, and don't help for touch typing.
i sometimes think about the ohs requirements my work has for posture, do schools have to pay attention to this stuff? I've been seeing so many kids, mine included, developing a craning neck to play with the ipads and pods

just read last night (so yet to try it out) that Sierra has released FREE (and saveable) online versions of ALL the classics (Leasuire Suit LArry, Police/Kings etc Quests etc ) Just tried it on my iphone no good must be made for big pad screen.. Can't wait to try!

ooh lets hope the move to those to OSX desktop apps too. can deffo see me playing old kings quest and police quest over beers.

also.. reading that the HDMI out cable also works on the iPhone 4 and the iPad 1 - WIN!!

Not going to bother with a 3G ipad considering ios 4.3 will allow me to use my iphone as a wireless hotspot.
That having been said i'm a little disappointed with the lack of a screen resolution update. Still tossing up whether to wait another 12 months.

i wasn't sold on the ipad until recently, ipad 2 though ... if i wasn't so tied to my laptops, i'd definitely get one.
