I don't believe they sell Guinness (the best beer IMO) at HiFi.

Anybody have any special plans for it, other than smoking green or drinking Baileys?

Seeing as Sydney has an inordinate amount of Paddies, I'll be hitting at least one pub tomorrow for some pints of Caffrey's.

(Avoid the Rocks at all costs tomorrow, if you happen to be in Sydney. Ruckus galore.)

Couldn't think of anything worse than Bridie's, especially on St Pat's Day

what is the point of the everyday australian celebrating st patricks day?

before anybody says "to get pissed" or something along those lines - get fucked, you can do that any day of the week.

Mecka's right, it's a silly day, just like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, John Howard Day, and Valentine's. But humans are all about silly days and needing an excuse to drink (more).

Weird vibe on the streets yesterday, lots of weirdos out. I took $40 out of the bank machine on Chapel St, started to walk away while on the phone to Trooper, then realised I'd grabbed my card but not my cash. Turned around, teenager dude swiped it. I gave him the slightly tilted head look of "don't even begin to think about fucking with me when I am not in the best of moods" look, put my hand out, he thought about it for a second, then handed me my cash.

Yay to Chapel Street Irish youth.

whats the reason for a lot of things... why this? why that? fuck asking why, just get pissed

I think it's about getting pissed with themes. St Paddy's is a green, irish kind of theme. Ooh creativity!

Halloween is about dressing like a monster or somebody you wouldn't otherwise have the balls to go as, and still getting pissed.

Easter is about getting sick on chocolate, and still drinking!
