Did anyone see GNR last night?
Did anyone see GNR last night?
Was it any good?
Man, I can't believe it.
They COMPLETELY rocked.
Axl was right on point, and singing as well as I've ever seen him do. With a complete drop in stage theatrics, which I really appreciated - as it really used to shit me seeimg him run up and down those ramps, and thinking more about the visual element than singing.
This time, they played pretty much every tune of Appetite (give or take maybe 3 songs), and a few from Use your Illusion 1&2.
My only gripes were the few songs they did off the new album, which were completely crap.
And also, the lead guitarist solo's seems to be an octave lower than slash used to play - yet were to the note. So it sounded a little different there.
Other than that, a killer live performance, which I really never expected.
Went in as sceptic as fuck. Got a massive suprise.
They pulled it off though - completely rocking.
4 out of 5 stars from me.
And I'm the harshest motherfuckin critic on this forum - and far from easily pleased.
So they were doing something right.
