IRIE means feeling good and being in high spirits, as in ‘we feel irie’. This is exactly how IRIE sets the mood, pumping out smooth reggae sounds mixed with some hot Caribbean soca. The theme is always positive and uplifting. Consisting of Jah Ranji, Sista Charmaine, DJ Flavio and friends, IRIE has been active in the Melbourne music scene for some time now and they have gained a unique style and sound of their own. With band members from all over the world, IRIE is truly global, with a love for Caribbean music being their common bond. Their latest CD has been widely played on Radio and as well as performing with other local bands, IRIE has regularly performed alongside international acts such as Afro Moses and Moses O Jah from Africa.
