"Most importantly it should encourage and allow people to sing along - and nobody can sing along to that, can you? The public wants to sing it, but they can't sing it if its not easy to follow, and nobody can follow that."
The remix may suck, but so does the original. Completely outdated and completely irrelevant. We need a new anthem. I propose we use Guns N Roses 'Mr Brownstone' as the new anthem.
Did anyone else receive a letter in the mail saying that their vote didn't count in the recent Federal election? Cos i got one saying i was in the wrong electoral area - but i did an away from home vote. And it also said i am not registered to vote which is bullshit cos i filled out the forms when i was 18 and have been voting ever since without a problem I reckon Howard is pulling a George Bush!
I moved so I sent in a form to change my address and they never re-enrolled me. So I turned up to vote and my name wasn't there so I went and had to fill out some stat dec so that I could vote and then I got a letter in the mail saying I was never enrolled and not on their records so my vote wasn't counted.
I thought maybe it was cos I didn't quote my citizenship certificate number (cos my mum lost it) but they should have had that in their system anyway cos I'd been enrolled before
...and back on topic: that anthem remix sucks balls. But then the original ain't all that either - just goes to show that remixing a crappy song does not a good song make
