That's horrible to hear witty.

Call them a skippy cunt or white anglo trash and see how it goes down.

(this is just as bad as what they're doing though so, maybe not recommended)

or file a complaint - you shouldn't have to hear that anywhere - let alone the work place.

full on - i just try to make it quite obvious that i'm unimpressed.
one of them was talking about how he got stuck in the lifts 'with an indian guy'. oh noes!
yesterday another (manager) pulled her eyelids when they were talking about another colleague's asian husband.
fucking gross tbh. next time i'm definitely going to say something.

I had a Kiwi guy try and sell me roof installation yesterday who was talking about all the dodgy indians ripping off his trade followed up with 'what are they doing in this country anyway?'

I told him he should return to his tiny little island and no I didn't want any roof insulation.

Ok - The 7pm Project is now officially pissing me off

When it started it was light and airey and semi-funny with a bit of banter and shit, but for some reason as the new rating season has hit they have started with this ridiculous current affair-esque bullshit stories. I could not give a fucking rats arse what these cockheads think about real shit, they are there to make a couple of wisecracks and give me an alternative to watching fucking today tonight. It infuriates me.

Rating season also starts in Feb.

haha just get nekkid FTW. I also keep seeing that ad which goes "there's nothing healthy about a tan" and thinking "yeah there is, at least where I come from."

People in the UK never get ANY sunlight and look really ill most of the time. There's everything healthy about a tan over there hahaha

GOTD: A fucken ice storm. Stuck inside all day, waiting to see if the power (hence heating and, more importantly, internet) will go out. On the plus side, campus is closed for two days (sand-on-road is a bit tricky to work out), so I don't have to try to drive in it. Still, cabin fever ahoy :?

Thank fuck my housemate didn't manage to get her troll of a bf to our house before it was too late...

Laneway festival = fucking never again.

I thought after last years debarcle (i didnt go but heard lots of shit)
they would make a real effort to improve it this year, and when i saw it was by the river in footscray thought it might be saved.

FAIL!!!!
they actually MADE ALLEYWAYS out of fencing so you could not sit on grass or near the river!!!

the xx- too packed, on during the heat of the day, no shade and could only hear fucking shit rock n roll bleeding from other stages
daniel jonson - same, bleeding rock n roll over his sweet voice and ukulele
dirty 3 - had to watch em on a screen cos too packed
florence - same, too packed.

waited in one of the lines for food for 45 minutes and before we got there were told the food had run out.
no passouts too.

after Days Like this and Rainbow, this was the shittest festival ive been to for a long time. never again!

omg that sounds like the biggest pile of shit festival ever, and thats saying something cos theres certainly some contenders for that title.

i've given up on melbourne festivals. i haven't been to one for about 3 years, and never felt like i've missed anything at all. all i hear from people afterwards is how shit they were, i can't remember anyone telling a good story about one for ages.

im not saying all festivals are shite, but the ones within melbourne seem to be.

Has gone a bit like that ey. Shame.

Good Vibes I do rate, the only one tho. I have a great time there, I think sound is good enough and they dont overpack it too much.

I cant beleive how bad laneways sounded. I was about to buy tix then saw Florence side show. was only going for her, $120.00 to not see someone or been squashed in competing with rock woud have made me cry a million tears. :bs:

Could be possible that because we know what DOES make a good festival, when it isnt done that like, we have a harder time dealing wiht it?
A guy I know had the BEST time at Stereosonic. Really truly did. First festival in Melb and went on about it for ages. And then I heard all the fail's from it.....

I had mega fun at Parklife 06 and 07... gave 08 a miss due to crappy line up.

Stereosonic looked the biz last year, from all accounts I read it was rad.

you know j, im pretty much in agreeance with you. when it comes to day fests anyways.

im up for good club gigs, im up for solo shows in good venues, im up for multiple day festivals that have their shit together and dont promise a bunch of hype they cant deliver, im up for places where I can at least feel human, move about with a few inches of personal space and eat/drink/pee without feeling like a fucking cow in a corral.

ive had a good time at some Myer music bowl 'festivals' the last few years and some really shite ones too. Being unable to hear Rhazel over the handbag house at good vibes killed my patronage for ever after....

I wish id gone to see Lauren Hill yesterday at Raggamuffin instead, my housie and others said it was awesome. :(
