While its focus is squarely on dance music, Fuzzy’s annual Parklife tour always boasts some more FasterLouder-compatible acts on the bill. Last year it was Goldfrapp, Dizzee Rascal, Soulwax and Peaches, and the 2009 line-up upholds the ‘crossover’ tradition.

Nick Littlemore and Luke Steele’s psych-pop collaboration Empire Of The Sun will makes its live Australian debut, alongside New York cool kids The Rapture, flame-haired blog sensation La Roux, pint-sized loudmouth Lady Sovereign, hip hop hipsters The Cool Kids and plenty more. Check below for the full list of artists playing Parklife this September and October.

I was expected to be disappointed by this lineup, especially as mstrkrft were like the biggest name announced in advanced...wasn't interested.

But: Junior Boys, Rapture, Little Boots, Metronomy, these guys don't come out that often. Been wanting to see Junior Boys for ages, great music.

Plus a bit of DirtyBird and Tiga biznezz...not too bad.

What happen to the days wen Parklife was the one to look fwd too.?
I remember a lineup with Cut Chemist, Cold Cut, Stanton Warriors, MixMaster Mike, Kraftys..
The yr before that had Drummattics, freestylers, Daddy G, Rennie Pilgrem, Numark.
Same shits happened with goodvibes.
Ah well, cant complain- still plenty of good shit coming through the melb clubs.

I think you have nailed it, Hardy.

I can't remember when there was a festival line-up where there wasn't one act that I want to see. Nice work Parklife!

lol cause i haven't any of those guys before. ever. What a ground breaking party it would be to have those guys there.

i agree it is scenester crowd. doesn't make the music not awesome :P

but rapture fucking OWN. so do cool kids.
Metric and metronomy give me the horn

Amen. I feel your pain..

Still, fingers crossed; breaks and d&b djs usually get added on the quiet or later..

For the lineup announced so far I will I need to put on the white kung fu slippers, the tight black jeans with my crutch around the knees, check flannel shirt and the really dangerous, edgy PLO black and white check cotton scarf.

Oh yeah, have a half arsed attempt at a beard, and sweep all my hair forward.

And sunglasses with white or yellow frames.

^^ 125 industry, ultimate fail, and as a result of all these peckerheads snapping up these tickets, means all other festivals will go up, hopefully not.
