Raiden (UK/EST) - Sat 17 Oct - FREE Warehouse/Outdoor PARTY
After having issues with securing a venue for this tour, Collateral Damage along with the help of the PTA crew (Post Traumatic Amnestiacs) will be putting on a free party with international DJ and acclaimed producer RAIDEN.
Original hailing from the UK but relocating to Estonia, this bad boy is responsible for some amazing tunes throughout the years crossing many different style of heafty beats. Since his debut tune Fallin' released on Renegade Hardware, he followed that up with many releases on Hardware, Barcode and now defunct Outbreak.
He then went off to explore the techno infused dnb launching his label OffKey. This was the first label to push the sounds of techno drum n bass and withthe help of The Sect, Proket, The Panacea and Propaganda, launched that style to the world. He released 20 singles plus an LP.
That was followed that up with releases on Position Chrome plus remix work including remixing Adam Freeland's 'We Want Your Soul' for Dieselboy's Human Imprint.
After recently releasing the dancefloor smash 'Hubble' he is now going back to his roots and stepping back into the Renegade Hardware camp so go deeper and push a new wave of dnb sounds as well.
He has played in Melbourne twice. First up at HiFi and secondly at Miss Libertines where the set was recorded as part of his OffKey Podcasts and uploaded by 10,000 plus fans across the globe.
We have a small warehouse lined up but if the weather is nice, it will be tearing it up outside.

Forgot to mention, we aint using no crappy system for this one, should be a Nexo rig installed for your listening pleasure.
Oh yeah and Lex, Johnny Hooves and Killswitch making the trip over from Perth with crew supporting Raiden, myself and Xehpa. Plus debut set from DJ InTheory (Luke) who is one of the Collateral Damage behind the scenes crew and its his 30th birthday so he is gunna play too. Bring it !!!
Its gunna be under the West Gate too unless the its pouring with rain or really cold, hopefully this cold snap is done by next weekend....fingers crossed.

Re: Raiden (UK/EST) - Sat 17 Oct - FREE Warehouse/Outdoor PARTY
Weather outlook is not the warm summer night I was hoping for but I think it'll be alright. The numbers are fast outgrowing the warehouse we have available so fingers crossed the rain stays away. Going down to 10-11 degrees overnight, just have to make sure your drunk to not feel the cold hey

Or walk up to the Shell which is bout 15 minutes and there'd be taxi's everywhere in there???

I hope you are just being a smart ass - no door tax although donations of even $10 would go a long way to help cover some costs for this event.Blaxter wrote:How much is the doortax?
Think of all the money you re saving on buying overpriced drinks from a nightclub when you can BYO
Re: Raiden (UK/EST) - Sat 17 Oct - FREE Warehouse/Outdoor PARTY
^ BYO aside, think how much better it is to dance outdoors; plenty of space, able to smoke, space for the tunes to breathe rather than slap back off walls....
you gonna send someone around with a hat for donations?

Was thinking of a hot girl in a bikini would get the most coin but weather wont be warm enough for it....lol. Maybe Blaxter would wear a mankiki and drum up some dollars
Re: Raiden (UK/EST) - Sat 17 Oct - FREE Warehouse/Outdoor PARTY
10 bucks is nothing... Raiden is worth double that at least.
If you really think me wearing a mankini will help I will consider it, but judging from Tex's profile pic on Facebook and the fact that he owns a mankini he might be a better person to hit up for that kind of assistance.

last one (and only one i've been to) was that one a few months back with the subbass stage and when i left around 6-7 there was a lineup of about 10 cabs lined up waiting for people spilling out, i was very impressed! One of the taximan had called all his boys to come down

Find a building with the business name on it and give em the st number and business name and you should be sweet.ghetto kitty wrote:heh, i have tried all those things. last time we nearly walked all the way back to the city too, and it was fweezin!ctoafn_DMZ wrote:Surely you could give them the address of a building that is near there like 6XX Lorimer St Port Melbourne not mentioning its a party and they'd come down???

I had issues once getting one but when I gave em that it was all good.
