xxHARDCORExx Saved My Life

Post by Blaxter »

Years ago when Poison, TLC, MC Hammer and a bunch of other shit ruled the charts I discovered punk rock. Dead Kennedys had already broken up but I discovered punk rock and the spirit of D.I.Y. music. This led me to start playing in a band that went on to independently release several 7" singles, an album on CD and contribute tracks to a bunch of compilations and tour up and down the country.
Since then I've found solace in HipHip, Drum'nBass and other electronic genres. DJ'ing and producing my own tracks has been as liberating in the same way punk music changed my life.
But I keep returning to Hardcore, most recently seeing Raised Fist live which was nothing short of amazing.

Anyone else on this board got time for Hardcore Punk/ Metal?

Been listening to Raised Fist Refused and Buzzkill today.
Use to get into the pop punk of NOFX and Bad Religion but I over did the Pennywise.
I still rate Millencolns 'Penguins and Polar Bears'.

florida and new jersey hardcore,
from minor threat to converge....
love mongoloids at the moment
MY BEDROOM IS PAINTED RED. ITS A HORRIBLY VIOLENT SHADE OF RED BUT I'M AFRAID TO CHANGE IT BECAUSE I FEEL I MIGHT MAKE LESS AGGRESSIVE MUSIC IF I DO.
