Deviant & Nago present: -stYlus- @ Bunker 13/08/05
The first installment of a new breaks night at one of melbournes most intimate clubs.... Bunker (old b407).
DJ's Deviant & Nago present -stYlus-
With special guest Chunk Lee (of Lounge's Sonic Social Club)
This night is shaping up to be a unique addition to the Melbourne breaks scene. A small venue with a big sound. As opposed to some of the bigger venues, Bunker offers a beautifully intimate environment. Perfect for all you breaks lovers out there to chill and listen to while still being close to the action.
Line up......
Deviant
Named by his friends, DJ Deviant has been part of the Melbourne music scene in one way or another for the last 5 years. Studying bass at the VCA, his performance techniques have been tuned playing gig's with the likes of Cat Empire, Steve Sedigreen, Alex Pertout, Snee, & his own live DnB outfit "In". Deviant has always been keen on electronic music, dance parties and the art of DJing, making his debut at Fractured a year ago. His selection is hard, dark, and just plain nasty. Expect plenty of dancefloor shennanigans when he graces the decks.
Nago
Having been hanging around the breaks scene for a while now, Nago is ready to reveal his taste of funky and techy breakbeat. Not one for hype, Nago let's his beats do the talking. Catch him opening precedings on the 13th.
Chunk Lee
Chrissy Chan, AKA Chunk Lee has been dropping her trademark funk around town for a little while now. Developing a small but loyal following from her days at the Sonic Social Club at Double O, she continued to drop bombs at the following SSC gigs at Brown Alley. After coming a close and very contentious 2nd at Out of Order’s “New Blood†DJ competiton, Chrissy snagged a few early sets at Fractured before landing on her feet with a residency at the all new and improved Sonic Social Club on Wednesdays at the Lounge. With her trademark mix of bottom heavy funk through to grunty breaks, and with nuthin but style, this is one lil lady to keep your ears open for!

Mate, i've got willy wonka producing loads of the stuff in the back shed. I'll bring some along to Gimme and have some dwarfs administer it by enema to you while you're dj'ing.Little Evil wrote:See what happens when you don't eat all your Nago's?

Planning to get absolutely fucked up beyond all recognition...Marcus, I promise I will not fall asleep on the toilet this time....no worries... Should be a good night, I think Boag just sent out his party invites so it's all coming together nicely. Just please remember not to bring any pastries, cheers bro. Sorry haven't posted earlier but we had to move my house mate's fish tank so that the internet would work, and I am not joking, catch

"Yeah, well you may find this strange but my uncle walks around caves waving a wand performing magic as he goes" - Some random bloke who turned up in my back yard for apparently no reason.

I really don't want to go to uni today, it's bucketing down and I've got to walk a kilometer to the train station.

There certainly will be some good tunes! Those who haven't seen Chunk Lee before, she is one tidy DJ with a wicked selection of tunes in her bag. I'm really looking forward to hearing her on the night.Realm Korrupt wrote:Should be a goodie! Unfortunately I'll be on the wrong side of the bar!
