I know someone who has one and he seems to love it. He's on here so maybe he can answer for himself?

Kammo loves his. Ive used it and its one of the smoothest faders ive come across.

Effects are cool but not much chop for dnb.

http://www.skratchworx.com/reviews/djm-909.php good review there by the skratchworx cats.

i quite like them...best thing pioneer has ever put out, thats fo shiz.

the way it see it its like this. if you can find one cheap (around $1300 AUD) get it. if not, your being a fool and should buy a Rane TTM56i that has better sound, better faders, smaller and has better efx options (IMO).

the wet/dry control on the ttm56 is genius. get a good sampler or efx box cheap from the US and your in the bizz.

ill just clarify my fader call...sure some might rate the 909 xfader better than the ttm56, but you gotta remember its the only good fader. both pgm faders are pretty poxy bog standard alpha faders that have a bad cut, bad curve and all round just feel too much like plastic rubbing on plastic. the 56 has 3 magnetic faders that are smooth as butter and indestructible.

if you buy the 909 with fader as number one priority, you may as well just get the 707. you can nab them from the states for as little as 250bones! now thats insane.

Kammo's got one, like Fenton said. it's a good mixer, but pricey. if you're looking to spend that kind of money, you should look at Rane's line of mixers.

haha thats zactly what i was trying to say but in a really long winded way.

i still rate the rane ttm56 as top skratch mixer.

yet to try the Rodec and Uri beasts tho. also this new mackie skratch mixer thats coming out looks interesting.

NO !

Dont buy a 600.

How many people have to tell you to look at Rane ?

Look at Rane. Look at Rane.

so pioneer have had the market for a while and some people were confused into thinking they were the best mixer around.
They are just easy to use and the first to get effects built in and working right. Now loads of mixers have this and sound better to boot.

Look at Rane .

Even Look at the Newmark 5000, all the effects and easy to use with decent sound quality.
$1600 or so.
